lockys96
this is pissing me off, days it seems to be fine. others like today the boosting of the car seems to be all over the shop. once i boot it, the boost comes on, then stops, comes on, stops, comes on etc. makes ure head go back and forward. lol sometimes it feels like boost delay, what is likely to be the problem. i just want my car to be on the button every time taa lads:(

Alex
How is your boost controlled? Do you have an FCD? Do you have cats? Do you have a restrictor? Which plugs are you using? What are they gapped to? Have you tested your EGCV? Does the second turbo fail to come in or come in late?

Alex
"boost is on off" That's not really helping much mate...try some specifics....like how quickly.
lockys96
i mean like the boost seems to be delayed sometimes, and when it comes on, its not smooth, its jerky and by boost on off, i mean from when in second gear and giving it some beans it from booting it upto 7,000rpm and chaging gear to 3rd, the boost very sharply and quickly is on and off, i.e you feel the turbo kick in, then stop, kick in all the way up to changing to 3rd gear
Alex
Sounds like your plugs are shot NGK BKR7E's should sort it out... Worst case your coil packs are breaking down....but I expect it's your plugs.
ardasaliah
Sounds like a misfire- That would cause boost to drop off. If so then change your plugs.
Lucifer
Got to be VSV surley.
ardasaliah
Got to be VSV surley. possible. My car use to do this when my plugs were shot. every time I booted - boost would build -I would then have a miss fire- causing the boost pressure to drop. then the boost would build- miss fire- boost back down again. Changed plugs which sorted

Alex
If it stutters whilst accelerating it's an ignition issue. I've given you the name of the plugs in post 15.
