Hello all,

After 16 years I have reluctantly decided to sell my Supra 😪.  My job has changed, so it's not really getting used as much as it used to, so think it's time for it to find a new home.  It's been a fantastic car and a privilege to own, but hopefully someone else can have as much fun with it as I have.

Make:

Toyota Supra

Model:

SZ-R NA-T 6-speed manual

Year:

1996

Facelift:

Yes

Mileage:

118,600

MOT remaining:

8 months

Service history:

I have owned the car since import.  All receipts retained since imported (2007 onwards) and some original Japanese documents.  Oil/ filter changes every 6 months, except for last couple of years when I have reduced to annually because I wasn’t using it as much (last year did approx. 1000 miles)

Car's location:

South London/ Surrey

Modifications:

·       Whifbitz Supra NA-T kit:

o   Supra 6 speed TT clutch

o   Supra NA oil pump

o   Clevite big end bearings

o   Replaced front crank seal, camshaft seal, cam cover seals and cambelt

o   Can give full spec over conversion if needed….

·       Link SupraLink 2JZ Non VVTI plug & play ECU – fitted by SRD Tuning – ECU setup, mapping and dyno also done – 419 BHP at 0.5 BAR (2018)IMG_2452.thumb.JPG.dee50fc4c79c5a3f8c7eff9bd4de6adf.JPG

·       Oil cooler

·       Ultralite 18” Nurburg alloys recently refurbished and repainted in Lamborghini Bronze

·       UK Spec calipers, EBC Ultimax grooved rotors on front

·       Blitz Nur Spec-R full exhaust system

·       Tein Streetbasis coilovers

·       Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator

·       Blow off valve

·       Additional gauges: Apexi Oil pressure, oil temperature, Boost, HKS turbo timer, SPA fuel pressure/voltmeter.

·       Supra Pro front and rear anti roll bar bush kit

·       Ganador door mirrors

·       TRD rear spoiler with carbon fibre blade

·       Wahlbro fuel pump kit

·       Yellowstuff brake pads

·       Whifbitz solid gearbox mount

·       TOAD alarm and immobiliser

·       Pioneer (Apple Play) double DIN head unit and subwoofer, Kenwood 1000W amp and Kenwood speakers

·       Loads of other bits/ receipts that I’ve probably forgotten about – I’ve had the car a long time!  These are the highlights 😊

Good bits:

Mechanically sound, super reliable car. One owner since imported in 2007.  Mainly garaged overnight or kept on driveway.

Bad bits:

27-year-old car, so bodywork showing some signs of wear.  Has been my daily driver for years, so odd scratches/ small dent, but overall, not too bad at all for its age!

PRICE

£24,995 ONO

Thanks for reading,

Emmeline

I think the only difference in the v161 and v160 is the gear ratios I maybe wrong on that though

6 Speed (V160) / (V161)
First.........3.827 / 3.724
Second....2.360 / 2.246
Third.......1.685 / 1.541
Fourth.....1.312 / 1.205
Fifth.........1.000 / 1.000
Sixth........0.793 / 0.818
Reverse...3.280 / 3.192

From the NZ bible to all things Supra

Inside the engine bay it'll be written on the chassis plate what it came with, as others have it'll be V161 as it's a facelift SZ-R, but on the actual gearbox not sure re V160 vs V161 but tbh it won't IMO effect the value if it had by some chance (unlikely) been swapped

Ok! Cheers guys! I’ll have a look. Re: value - I guess it’s only worth what someone will pay for it at the end of the day 😬😬. I’m not in a rush to sell but don’t really want it hanging round for ages though!

Have a look here:

http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm#COMPARISIONS

If you look at the VIN stamp under the bonnet it'll say v161/160 for trans/axle.

I don't think I've ever heard someone haggle a price down on a full car based on the fact it's a 161 instead of a 160. They're both incredibly stout and imo don't affect the value at all.

My post was for the other way! Or as the ad says offers too, don't come down at all!
