Power folding mirror slightly loose

Hi guys,

One of my power folding mirrors (passenger side) has come slightly loose as it has been knocked and presumably come off the motor and needs resetting. Problem is they aren't wired into the dash yet so I can't power them from any OEM switch - has anybody powered these up directly from outside the car in order to reset the motor? I'll attach some photos of the connector and if anybody could point me in the right direction of how to power these up that would be great.

Thanks!

Here's the wiring diagram, looks to be GR (? not sure what that correlates to on yours) and O (Orange?). Never powered them outside the car myself, but 12v from a battery (just using some additional wire onto the pins) would likely suffice. My passenger side mirror is loose and doesn't fold at all (motor has never worked in my ownership).

Thanks so much for the diagram, that was a help. GR was pink in the end somehow!

Pink and orange wires. Can test them on a battery...one on positive and one on negative. Best to fuse them. Then switch the wires to reverse the fold position

Thanks evinX, managed to get this powered up and folded in and out. It's still slightly loose and moves perhaps 20mm but I think I need to cycle it a few times just to get it fully back in place.

Eventually I'd like to get these wired in to a nice switch in the dashboard somewhere discreet if I don't have any luck finding the OEM one.

Tried to send a PM but I'm not allowed at the moment. Apprarently my limit it 0 per day lol. Maybe because I'm still a new member.

If you're not a paid up member then you can't, if you are, message a moderator eg @Tyson and they'll sort it for you. You can message moderators as an unpaid member.

Thanks Annabella, makes sense. I'll look into getting that sorted 🙂
