Absolutely epic work.  This is how a respray / rebuild should be done.

This is going to look amazing once complete.

You going for a neat and tidy reapplication of the seam sealer, or rough and ready like OEM?

I know you originally said you were going to limit the sound deadening to factory, but are you more inclined to go for a more modern solution now?

So we chatted about this

ref seam sealer , it will be neat where seen and where not will be applied better than oem

sound dead will be more than oem

will be as if they were building now so oem+

the facelifts we’re not as good as the first ones prob down to costs

I recently had my facelift and pre-facelift apart and the differences are surprising. Apart from a lot less sealer and poorer quality sound deadening (in some areas), there was a surprising lack of underseal on the facelift, as in almost nothing. The pre-facelift was in far better condition even though it's been in the UK far longer.

Are you going to fully weather proof the underside, even though that wouldn't be OEM? Personally I'd want to even though it's not standard.

So The Bumper has been prept and all the paint removed, which was a pain in the ass apparently , but as you can see like all supra bumpers the cracks are all the way back to the bare plastic.

They were then repaired acordinally using novel plastic filler to give the best life chance of it not happening over time again.

Also managed to get the bumper in the first stage of primer and also blasted and isolated small parts, which are now ready for colour.

They even took the door handles completely apart so that the edge of the handle looks as good as the rest of the paint because , well the devils in the detail.

They are hoping to get the car on the rotisserie tomorrow if goes well.
