Air Conditioning Compressor

It's worth a shot, but I'm not convinced.  The part number for the pre-facelift cars was replaced with the same part number for the facelift cars.

You might be able to bend the pipes slightly, as I originally suggested.  There is only a variation of 1cm.

I guess I’ll find out.  It’s with me now and I dare say to return it will be a ballache.

i may have a look on eBay to see if I can see one.

Did you order that from Rock Auto too?  I ordered mine last Sunday and it hasn't arrived.

I also located and bought an new original Supra RHD evaporator.  It was on eBay, there are a few more available.

Yes it was from Rock Auto, strange yours hasn't. Assuming it's been shipped on tracking?

I'll track down the evaporator on eBay

My evaporator arrived yesterday from Japan.  Only took a few days to arrive.  I'm impressed.  No duty etc.

It is a direct replacement.  I bought it through a company on eBay called ISICAR.

My RockAuto package is currently being held at Customs, so I'll expect a bill for that 😕

That's fantastic news, well done.  If the one I bought from Rock Auto doesn't fit, I'll pick up one of those (if they have any left).

That's rotten luck.  Neither of mine were held in customs, I think it's just luck of the draw.  Most things that I buy from the US gets import charges.

It seems that the US seller that I bought condenser from may not actually have one in stock, even though they currently claim to have two in stock.  A delivery date of 2nd of September is a bit long considering I bought it at the beginning of July.  I thought it was too good to be true.  The seller is on eBay and is called JEGS Performance, they have a listing for more compressors in stock here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402121314265

I've messaged them and have not yet received a response.  Their general feedback is very good but just a few claim that they've had no comms and had to cancel orders in the end due to the supplier not having stock.  All a bit strange.

I leave the info above for your consideration if you are looking to buy from them.  I guess there are more good experiences than bad.  I may now end up getting one from Toyota in the US, they seem to have stock but the prices are through the roof, as is the postage
