I know I’ll regret this but I'm going to sell my Supra pending a house move. Before anyone says it, yes it’s a garage queen. I bought this as a fresh import in 2017 and I am the 1st and only UK owner. When purchasing the car I had two very good long standing friends check it over, one a senior mechanic who’s worked on all 3 of the Supra’s I have owned and the other a body shop owner. Given its lack of pre-import history I wanted to check it was mechanically sound and had not had any major repairs or seen any accidents, once this was all clear I snapped it up. The mileage is low but I am always dubious of imports so went purely on the condition of the car to make my judgement. It’s perfect for an investment given the current rising prices, or a great solid clean base for a big build. I’ve been a forum member for 10 years, this is my 3rd Supra. My previous cars were a UK auto and then a Jap TT6. The triptronic is by far the nicest to drive of the 3 in my opinion. The car is located in York and I’m happy for any inspection, we can jack it up and have a good snoop underneath etc etc. It's still on its factory underseal as it's not seen winter or a wet road, so there is nothing gunked up/hidden/covered up underneath, just as it was. It's being stored in a heated garage. No test pilots, I'll do the driving. Viper alarm and two keys, UK service and MOT history as well as receipts for various service bits etc.

Make: Toyota

Model: RZ-S Triptronic 1998 VVTI TT

Year: 1998

Facelift: YES

Mileage: circa 52,000KM

MOT remaining: 1 year

Service history: 2 Service's and 2 MOT's since import in 2017. No Jap history

Car's location: North York’s

Modifications: TRD backbox and double din head unit

Good bits:

* Accident free

* Runs like its new out the factory

* Very clean

* Low milage

* Since import its been in a heated garage and never driven in the winter or seen a wet road and as such the underside is super clean

* It has not been undersealed on import and still has the factory seal so you can see nothing is hidden or covered up.

* Apart from a TRD back box and double din head unit the car is original.

* no conversion from KM to miles so all reading as it originally should

Bad bits: To be honest I think the car is amazing for its age and its runs perfectly. It’s had 0 advisories on its MOT's. Its the cleanest I have seen personally but the niggles I have with it are:

* Paint chips to bonnet and bumper as expected, very slight chip in the windscreen (tiny and not in anyway a problem or issue with the MOT)

* Lack of history pre import. I have had 2 services (oil,filters etc) and MOT in my ownership even though the services were probably were not necessary given the mileage. These have been done by a very good friend who is senior mechanic at Evans Halshaw who I trust 100% and has done all the basic mechanics on the 3 Supra’s I have owned.

* As with most facelifts there is some slight lift on the dash above the passenger airbag and also near the passenger footwell where the dash meets the centre console, I guess due to sun/heat in Japan. Its low down near the front right of the passenger chair so not noticeable and could be easily fixed with a bit of glue or something.

I will update and add to this advert if I remember anything else.

Please do PM with questions as I won’t be checking this thread all the time. The car will be going on PistonHeads and Facebook too.

PRICE: £SOLD
