Hi all

Is anyone on here with Virgin mobile for their phone contract? If so whats the covereage like? Heard mixed reports, however as a virgin customer they are doing quite a tidy deal on the Galaxy S2 that im after.

What I dont want is a shiney new phone and naff signal for the contract.

Cheers

Si

If you're going for Smartphones, I'd seriously look at Three - and their all you can eat data plans.

I've just moved our company phones over to them - I get full signal nearly everywhere I am, the least I've seen is 1 bar, and never been anywhere (yet) where I get zero coverage.

I was on 3 as SIM-only when my Voda contract ended last year. I stayed with them a fair while, until early this year when a Voda deal (incl. Quidco) came up that was too good to miss. The 3 coverage was pretty good in the cities, although still a bit hit/miss in buildings but then you could level that at any provider I suppose. In the Council building I work in, old and with super thick walls, 3 gave a higher percentage of 3G/HSPDA signal but Voda seems to provide better voice coverage just going on what I've noticed.

My cousin has Virgin Mobile, and he says they aren't the best if that's any help :)

^^^ T Mobile utilize the Orange network too :)

o2 is the best and have good signal

Signal is good with O2, no doubt about it.

Their Tariffs are not competitive at all. So I moved after a number of years across to T Mobile. So far... a very good move thanks.

I think you will find out that Virgin customers get similiar deal for 25 quid with same phone, thats why OP is prolly asking about coverage :)

Fair enough :)

One thing I would say is browsing and email stuff is genuinely unlimited with TM whether using Wifi or 3G.
