Supranature
yes garaged. no it my only car. apart from being a named driver on my partners car. If you were an existing policyholder I could have put you in touch with my insurer who doesn't take account of ncb Pity, I got my insurance on a daily driver Supra down from £950, to £360 as a weekend toy I'm a good 12 yrs older than you, and never claimed (touchwood), yet still got asked for that. Supranature
The NA is only a few quid less, if not the same to insure, as a TT. "J-spec" is your/our enemy
wantasupra
The NA is only a few quid less, if not the same to insure, as a TT. "J-spec" is your/our enemy well the enemy is increasing my insurance by 700 quid, how does that work out.?? how can i pay the same for the last 4 or 5 years at 300-350 to get to 1000. thats the bit i dont get. if i had points or convictions or accidents ect. i could understand, but im squeeky clean... could understand if it went to 400 maybe 500 but 1000+ highest quote has been 3k. nuts.. im off too bed.. may feel better in the morning.lol
Supranature
When did you last get a quote for a Sup before this? Have you moved address or changed jobs? Things other than the norm to consider.....
Tom S
all the compare sites are a bag of $#@!e. they would only give me one quote... and that was £9999! just phone sky. Perfect advice. I'm coming back to the fold (if in an Aristo mk2 TT) and Sky have quoted me £441 fully comp. With 9yrs Protected NCB Ask to speak to Jason, quote the club and ask for discount. Might surprise you. stevie_b
When did you last get a quote for a Sup before this? Have you moved address or changed jobs? Things other than the norm to consider..... Something drastic must have changed for the quote to go from £350 to £1000. Different car with lots of mods? Convictions? Kent is hardly mini-Beirut: anyone who's seen the Darling Buds Of May will know this. Insurers usually milk us by applying a 20% hike, not a 300% one. The only other explanation I can think of is that you were previously insured on a mkIII supra without realising it.
purplewitch
I just called Sky after the company that insures my two other performance cars starting being awkward about the number of mods on my newly acquired 3rd car and was very impressed.. quick, reasonable, efficient
