patrikbrunt
Im not sure if this is technically in the right section...however, I am attempting to change my crank pulley this weekend providing the parts arrive, and would like to borrow/rent a pulley locking tool if someone would be so kind... Obviously as the car is minus a functioning crank pulley im not able to drive to collect the tool, however I think finding one local to me would be ambitious anyway... So I guess posting it to me would be the only way? Im more than willing to paypal across enough money (plus extra for the effort of posting etc) to cover the cost of postage. Thanks in advance. Patrik.

Guest argy911
I know this is a bit of a "piky" way of doing things but if you are stuck with this And also you check the rotation of the engine. IE: the direction the engine turns . What you do is get a braker bar with socket ,put it on the crank shaft pully , then crank the engine one click on the key .IE a quick on and off . This should be enough to loosen the bolt.. Also I just came back from Torqauy last week .Very nice place somerset.

No mate you can't use the engine for that if you have an auto box .But if its manuel ,You put the car into first gear with both wheels on the floor ,handbrake up and for extra safty get someone to put their foot on the brake ,then with a braker bar tighten the crankshaft pully.. I think you mean Torque wrench dude!!! You will still get a lot of movement even with the car in gear, brakes on etc.
