Kev.O
I've fitted my thermal gasket over the weekend, and although it's about 4mm thick, I never had any issues fitting the intake manifold. However when the time came to fit the intake support bracket, I had this issue: Now I realise I could enlarge the holes that's already there but I'm not overly keen on that idea, nor am I keen on running without the bracket. I just wondered what other people have done, and if I had a new bracket custom made, would there be any interest if I had a small batch made? Terminator
Just slot the hole on the cam cover side. It won't move when it is tightened up.
dandan
Not what you're after but I opened up both holes on the bracket and I also slotted the big one underneath too. I needed quite a bit of room though as I have two thermal gaskets - one against the head and one against the plenum.
colsoop
Could you take a bit of the bend out of the bracketc. Its been a while but i seem to remember they were angled.
Scott
Looking at it you would get a couple of mm by moving the bend up closer to the cam cover side nut. Might just be enough to get a fixing on there.
Kev.O
Biggest issue with my one is that it's chromed and I'm a little concerned of the chrome cracking if I bend/drill it too much. Thanks for the suggestions though chaps
