Chiefgroover
My V160, which i recently put all new bearings into @ ECC, at great expense may I add. Box works perfect, but is slightly noisey, noticable at low speeds only, but if you have a loud or 4" exhaust you wont notice, I didnt when it had the BL system. Whine is probably gear related. I think the bearings and build cost me about £1250 ish. Am thinking about the £2500 area, alough I admit its either only suitable for the loud exhaust bridgade, or those who just want a good box and dont care about a whine etc.
d_d
How many miles has the box done since it was rebuilt? Did it whine straight after the rebuild?
Chiefgroover
Before and after, whine is prob gears, and was not bearings. 633 miles since rebuild.
mrgee2jz
not sure if you will get anywhere near that if it needs gears. Whole conversions go for that price or less.

mrgee2jz
I understand you have spent alot of money on it, but that's like me saying I've rebuilt my engine with new big ends but there is still a nocking noise coming from it, I wouldn't even be able to offer you what you have spent on it. As I would only pull it apart and rebuild it again.

As I would only pull it apart and rebuild it again. Pointless building it again. It's immaculate on the inside, with no sign whatsoever of any wear. IF anything else looked slightly worn it would have been replaced. Your engine has a big end knock? sorry to hear. My gearbox works fine and can drive every day and is fit to do so for many years to come. Note how I mentioned i didnt even know it whined a bit until I change the exhaust and recommended it ONLY for those who run 4" etc who would not even hear it. If your not buying go to Supra chat this is a for sale post and your pissing all over it with no intention of buying, so why are you posting in this thread?. I do need 2 more of these boxes, but I don't want to offend with posting offers. So I would like you to let me know what you will take for it? Also do you have any other parts for a conversion? Eg, clutch, pedals, diff, lines, flywheel. Then it will be worth more money, thanks

The sounds it makes are not uncommon in these boxes, if it makes a good price I'll just buy a new one. If your after a big bargain, this one isnt for you. Last box I sold was £1800 from my silver car, and if I had held out another week, would have made more. Not willing to blow out a box for badmoney that only has a whine in it, when so many others have it too.
