The rear rims are 11j and 315's were originally fitted, however when I repurchased the car to get it back on the road, there was 265's on the rear which were split due to being stretched.

I've looked for 305's and 295's but still extremely hard to find and very expensive.

The car was running 440bhp, what would you reccommend?

295's should be ok for 11". I have 265's on a 10" wheel and they aren't too bad. With the extra sidewall 295's would be fine.

Thats some size of 17" wheel though.
