LFC vs Inter Milan...

Pot

...following on from the other thread...

I know I was a bit dubious in my opinions on how it was going to go, I'm glad I 'kept the faith' and supported tonight with a positive mind...

Yes, the red card was debatable, but that Vierra handball was certainly a penalty, and LFC has a near impossible task once IM dragged all of their players back into defense hoping for a 0-0...

It was certainly a positive vibe considering all of the recent crap :)

Rafa is an idiot a lumbering one at that.

His refusal to use Crouch regularly is completely daft...Liverpool didn't work until he came on, again...I can't see why he waited soooo long to bring him on against 10 men.

All in my opinion.

A very good point, the commentator even pointed out that once Crouch came on LFC were able to whack the high balls into him and IM weren't even attempting to challenge him...

I thought you were a Liverpool fan?? You should always have faith in the Religion of Liverpool FC :)

I know what you're saying, I've always had a positive mind going into every match, but it was tested with the recent performances, but I did approach tonight with a positive mind, not as positive as usual, but still with a good feeling :)

You've still got to question how we can beat the team currently running away with Serie A, yet we can lose to a team where they speak funny. Still, happy with the result!

I thought Cordoba getting injured was a big turning point and he was probably on course for man of the match, hope he's out for next 3 weeks :innocent:

Otherwise positive performance from the lads apart from Aurelio's abysmal set piece deliveries.

Note to Rafa, weekend's game against Boro is a Champions League qualifier! :)

You don't know that we wouldn't have been better with him on from the start though...nights like this I think you just have to trust Rafa, after all this is about the 6th or 7th time we have been significant underdogs and come out on top mainly due to his team selection and tactics.

League games I totally agree, its hard to fathom how we can scrape a draw with Birmingham at Anfield yet roast the runaway leaders of Serie A but we seem to thrive on being unerdogs and under the cosh. I'm happy tonight anyway:D

I agree with both of you, and it infuriates me, especially with the p155 poor performances in the league, and FA Cup, but when it really matters in Europe we put on a bloody good show and result!...

Maybe Rafa's got a grudge with someone else in Europe he wants to keep putting one over and he doesn't care about the EPL? We'll never know I guess?...

Please, you make me laugh. You came out on top as the ref had a mare in the first half, as soon as any team gains a man advantage the result really goes out the window.

Rafa is not a tactical wiz, you have been incredibly lucky in sneaking into last stages. You over achieve in the champs league as he rests your players throughout the season which shows in your league position/results.

On the night you got the result but you cant think you are a better side than Inter who are strolling their league, you on the other hand are struggling in yours and playing some god awful football.
