  1. They are the things that link the anti-roll bar to the lower wishbone at each side. They're also called anti roll bar links, and maybe something else. They have a bolt which spins if you try to undo the nut, but the bolt is slotted with a hex hole through the centre so you have to use a hex wrench to hold the bolt still while you undo the nut. This sometimes/often doesn't work so you have to grind them off or weld a wrench to them
  2. I don't think I found the fronts the hardest. I remember commenting that everybody said the fronts were hardest, but the rears turned out to be. I'd start by making sure you can get the drop-links off. I think it's possible to do it with them still attached but it's best if you can undo at least one side on each end from what I remember. I had to use an angle grinder to get 'em off. They were worn anyway, it turned out, as the car felt lovely and quiet/smooth after fitting new ones. I just pushed the lower wishbone down hard with my foot. Probably not too bushing-friendly but there ya go.
  3. You were chased off the road? Did they have guns and stuff?
  4. True, that would be easier, although only as easy as using the IP address was.
  5. I dunno. I suppose it has to work that way, but isn't it bad to be constantly inducing knock? Hence why I'm thinking it might be a slow/gradual process ?
  6. The reason it's an issue is because your router (and most others) can't loop back into itself for the port redirection. The BT business hub routers seem to be able to do it though
  7. That's because you need to use the internal private IP address. Something known as split-DNS would be the way to do it in a proper server environment. What you need to do is add an entry to %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts on the client machine like this: [ip address] (tab) ftp.chriswilson.tv leave the square brackets out. You'll see the format of the line from the existing "127.0.0.1 localhost" entry. I'm presuming from all this that's it's a locally hosted FTP server, which I think is correct, and you're using Port-redirection (NAT/PAT) to get external people into the machine.
  8. The turbo Supras love higher RON fuel. I could easily notice a difference, plus you're risking detonation with anything above stock boost with any other type of fuel. Some would say you're risking det even with stock boost on a Jap import. The non turbos don't seem to show any benefit. I can't really see how the engine could re-adjust to the higher RON fuel quickly without risking damage to itself. It would surely have to advance the timing in very very small increments or something. If it just went "oh, let see if we've got better fuel yet.. advance all the way. DET. oops, nope, still shit fuel, almost broke a piston" it wouldn't be too good.
  9. It might have big brakes being facelift..
  10. Ignore me. I do what it says in the diagram too
  11. Lol, I'm glad you're in!
  12. Has to be the jap-import JZA70 mk3 or a Soarer TT, not the regular UK MA70 which has the head gasket blowing 7M-GTE engine.
  13. Actually, that chaps idea of just enabling "inherit from parent" like what Stevie_B pointed to looks like a good straight-forward idea, but you'll still probably need to take ownership first.
  14. You need to be sure you don't have Simple Filesharing enabled, else the Security tab might not display. Also Home edition doesn't display the security tab from what I remember. So, hoping you're on XP Professional. My computer -> Tools menu -> Folder Options -> View -> bottom of list untick "Simple File sharing". If it's home edition you'll probably need to use xcacls or cacls from a command prompt, or that better opensource alternative, can't remember its name.
  15. Passwords have nothing to do with ACLs (Access Control Lists - NTFS permissions). You just need to take ownership and give yourself permissions on the folders. It's not a password issue. It's the NTFS permissions (ACLs). Right-click folder, properties -> security -> advanced -> owner -> highlight Administrators (local machine) -> tick "replace on subcontainers" -> OK. Then still on security tab -> Add -> Everyone -> OK Full Control -> OK It's nothing to do with passwords, however the situation was likely created by you saying yes to "Do you want to protect the users files/folders from access by other users" when you set a password on the account.
  16. Yep it's the air con Condenser. If it leaks your a/c will stop working and the compressor won't engage as the gas/pressure gets low. If the a/c is fine and doesn't need re-gassing every couple of months just leave it for now. Since your car is an auto, fitting of an aftermarket radiator will require you to get a separate auto-gearbox cooler, as the Toyota radiator has on built into the main radiator. edit: sorry, Gaz already said that
  17. No. You'd have to paint it back to stock if you ever wanted to sell it.
  18. I think CHAPS (£20) is instant, and BACS (£0) is ~3 days. Cheques are "five days really but we let you draw on it after three" at my bank.
  19. £3.5 to £4.5k is probably the going rate.
  20. That looks spot on with the porch light to me. Better than most.
  21. Facelift car or pre-facelift? I get this a bit, but it sounds more like it's coming from the dashboard on mine (so could be engine mounts, although they were replaced under 2yrs ago but maybe with the same faulty facelift ones). Exactly as you say, it only happens in Drive with foot on the brake.
  22. Your best bet there is always going to be to fit an IR-activated light regardless of how good the camera is in the dark. It doesn't have to be a halogen flood light, although you can get 150watt ones of those that don't frighten the neighbours, but any kind of light that lights up the area a bit will help a lot.
  23. Did the piston melt and get jammed in an up-ish position?
  24. Yeah. You're probably right Somebody I know had a pair of posh knickers bought for her by her boss (agent provactuer or whatever) and was furious.. boss sacked
