  1. Well, there are multiple copies of course; it's a production piece. To produce just one copy would so so expensive, it'd take a madman to commssion it. The gent who commissioned it asked for 25 copies, and I think he has 10 left unspoken for. I just didn't want to post up any information because I didn't want it to seem like a for sale thread. I like showing off our abilities and letting evryone see what sort of work we do here. Thanks again, Eric
  2. I'm not sure what the specs are on the motor, I just know that it's going in VERY well done MKIV. The middle timing cover piece is really beautiful piece, but it's also a real PITA to make . The lower covr isn't done.. yet, but it's on the drawing board. YOu guys like? Eric

  4. Thanks guys, it's nice to know that the effort is appreciated. Gamer is right, the cover is an aluminum magnesium alloy, and is modeled off of the stock cover, with a few changes. Here's an up close pic of the polished type and of the chromed type. Daniel has the chromed.

  7. Not a Veilside This kit seems like it was made for the MKIV Supra, at least this Supra because the wheel stick out 150mm on both sides. Eric

  10. The polishing was a VERY tough part of it. There was a lot of time spent polishing the small corners and the deep areas. But I think it turned out great My main goal was to have a true show motor and I think we're very close. Eric
  11. It's an iron block, alright. We can figure about 5 stone (75 lbs) heavier than a 2jz. The good news is that the weight is situated further back in the engine bay, so the car will be more balanced. Eric

  13. It's lot of work that went into this motor. The 5.4L stroker we're building is receiving even more attention. This 4.7L Supra swap will include two 56mm [s256] Schweitzer turbos, .70 a/r, and a full plug n' play Link Plus EMS. We're actually making the replacement harness that hooks to the motor, to the body, and to the MKIV Supra. Eric
  14. Just an update for this project. The motor is together and looking amazing. We test fitted the turbo manifolds today and they are perfect. They allow us to keep the AC and PS also so that's a bonus. I've decided to use the Sp400 stage 2 in tis particular build and another gent we're building the 5.4L stroker for is using the V160 6 speed. Go big or go home.

  16. We're making it so the DP can bolt straight up to 99% of all Supra "off the shelf" exhausts, and I'm very curious how the 4.7L will sound through a single 95mm exhaust. I'm planning of taking loads ore pics and also taking video of the car once it's running under it's own steam. Should be pretty devastating at the least, and at the most start a MKIV Supra revolution. Eric
  17. A few pics of the heads in case folks are interested. We left the intake ports more or less stock, and applied a heavy port to the exhaust. The valves are our own custom valves, 36mm in, 30mm exhaust. We're at the maximum diameter the seats will allow
  18. We've actually flowed the intake and found that it flows nearly 30% more than stock, and all runners within an acceptable percentage of one another. There weren't any sign of turbulence I'm happy to say. We also have a single plenum design coming out soon. Past a certain point, the buckets are one of the weaker points in these motors. It's a shim under bucket design, but the tops are rather thin. With an overly aggressive cam profile, there's a fair chance of gounging the tops out. That's when we have to step up to chromoly buckets. They're pricey, but cheap insurance when you think about it. Eric
  19. I'm only using twin 56mm .070 a/r Schwietzers myself, I want spool right off idle or as close to it as possible. I'm only shooting for 900rwhp and as much Tq as that will give me. We're building a stroked 5.4L 2uz V8TT motor now for a good friend that is going all out. His goals are set high at ~1500Hp, so we're reinforcing every aspect of the motor right down to the buckets, 4 bolt mains, etc. Eric
  20. I believe they use an early 1uz. They only share block dimension, rod and bearing size, and well that's about it. We had decided to use the 2uz instead of the early 1uz for a number of reasons, one of which being the iron block. We love the turbo out here Eric
  21. Hi Brian, Oh yeah, the kit we've outlined is made per the customers needs. We can keep the CR at 8:1 if the end user would like. The Link G2 seems to be the right EMS to get the job done since it controls both the ignition and injection sequentially. No wasted spark here. Thanks man! Eric
  22. I'm not all that convinced that the V12 is the right way to go, especially since we're making this into a production kit for other Supra owners. I considered it, but the pros outwheigh the cons. I wanted to start with a bulletproof iron block with good cylinder to cylinder distances, and the 2uz fits the bill. Nearly everything, about 95% of it, has been custom so far, but we've learned a lot now that we've cut our teeth on the production. Our main goal is to produce a motor that givesd maximum torque (something 2jz forgot about), fast spool, maximum HP potential, and MOST importantly be made in kit form for reproduction so that any Supra owner can experience the V8TT swap.
