  1. I'm looking forward to it too A member suggested raising the price to compensate for the lower numbers and I'll run that by Dusty tomorrow. We may be able to do something with the 20 members who want the rings. Remember I'll still be needing the gauge cluster to test with. Thanks again, Eric
  2. We've got 20 and MVP is now a member of the AU forums as well. We'll get these made Roveri, I even asked for a facelift dash to be sent here to me so when we do kick them off we can have something to test with. The biggest issue for us is that the facelift gauge cluster never made it to the US, so the sale to you guys is the only reason that these would be made. We're more than happy to help out but when the call goes out for another manufacturer/distributor it's of course not going to sit well. Thanks again, Eric
  3. We have the 97-98 MKIV's however we don't have the 5 hole dash. That was never an option in the USA spec MKIV as much as I wish it would have been. Thanks man, Eric
  4. Yes sir, it is. That's not the way business is conducted. Yes we are a group of enthusiests, however manufacturing 25 sets of these rings costs money, and therefore this as much a business deal as anything. Let me know how the group would like to proceed. Eric
  5. Well that's not very supportive of MVP, and rather insulting if you ask me. You guys are only 5 people short at this time you you're up here making an "all call" for a new manufacturer? We're doing this as a favor to you guys because you asked asked for these specifically under the other GB thread. We love to cut you guys great deals, but a little loyalty would be nice. Eric
  6. No, the crucible will be in the car. Engine dynos are expensive and I am not working with any sponsorship at all. Our plan is to give the motor the works directly after the cams break in. Eric
  7. Just been toe-tapping waiting on the widebody to be finished. The finished V8TT has been sitting here for a while now ready to go in. Eric
  8. Very true regarding the cams. Regrinds are not worth it IMHO. They raise the acceleration profile of the valve train in that they attack the base circle of the cam. Hardwelding only reprofiles the lobe, and leaves the base circle intact. I will say though that our test car had an NA AEM. With the cams and a 62mm turbo, it made ~500rwhp at 17psi. That's repectable power for pump gas and low boost. Thanks guys, Eric
  9. Neither HKS nor BC make the cam pictured above. It's special grind that we had made just for NA-T guys. Teh biggest problem with going NA-T is the fact that you guys are hemmed up on camshafts, especially the exhaust cam. We cured that Eric
  10. Those cams in the pic aren't HKS Thanks man, Eric
  11. The Brian Crowers are for the VVT-I only. They'll work with the IS300. The SC300 and MKIV Supra NA came with the non VVt-I, and that's where these cams come in. Eric
  12. Or..... you could use these. This is the only aftermarket profile for the 2jz-ge exhaust that's in existance (the Brian Crowers above are for the VVt-I, and don't have the distributor gear) . It's in a running 2jz-ge NA-T now, and it completely changed the attitude of the car. It uses the stock distributor and gear. Here is the profile: The new profile is: Duration.............. 13. Exactly what I'm thinking also. The V8TT is the wave of the future in the MKIV Supra. I firmly believe this. Lag will be a thing of the past, and more importantly high HP production with minimal if any lag. Giant ridiculous turbos with tons of lag will be a thing of the past. I used to own a GT47 88mm, and it was boring. It started spooling at 6200rpm in second gear, and had only 2500rpm maximum powerband. The 4.7LTT will cure that nonsense. Top Secret, PM sent. Eric
  14. I'm going to be putting up pics of the widebody once it comes back from paint. It's all custom stuff but not too gawdy Eric
  15. Just wait until you see the widebody that goes along with it. Eric
  16. Well look'see what just came in today. After 5 months of research, phone calls, waiting, and building, the ECU builders really came through. Here are the brains of the operation. The ECU is a Link G3 Plus. It features 8 sequential injector drivers and (most importantly to me) 8 sequential ignition drivers. No waste spark here. The harness is a Plug n' Play that was specailly built just for us here at TTC Performance for use on our V8TT swaps. It plugs directly into the MKIV Supra, yet features the engine wiring from the 4.7L 2uz-fe. This makes life a lot easier. Welcome to the future of the MKIV Supra
  17. Exactly. Dusty takes more calls and personally handles more customer issues that seemingly possible. That guy stays at his desk sometimes until 2am answering e-mails and resolving issues. I've never dealt with a more professional and dedicated retailer than MVP. Now for my 2 cents. Usually when someone plays the part of the instigator in threads like this, there's a motive behind it. Usually there's competing shop somewhere in the background shadows. I question the thread starters motives since (a) he has nothing to do with the issues being talked about, (b) the thread starter links a competing performance company in his homepage. Those are the questions I am asking. Eric
  18. I tossed this together today for picture purposes since some members have been asking me about it. It's the V160/V8adapter and clutch assembly.
  19. That look great, did you enlarge the entrance into the intake? I am thinking about a weld on adapter flange so the entrance can be enlarged to the size of the Q45 80mm internal diameter. Eric
  20. Hey guys, Is anyone in England running the Q45 throttle body on their stock [ported] manifold? Eric
  21. Coming up soon. I have the turbos here and am waiting on the manifolds to be finished. Eric
  22. Yeah, we just popped it up next to the curb before it was put away. It's tucked away nicely waiting for the body to be done. Thanks guys, Eric
  23. HA! Well.. I am building two 5.4L stroker 2uz's now for guys in the states for pretty close to my cost. That's about as close to group buy as we're going to get for some time. The market is just too small right now to even justify an attempt at a group buy, and also [most importantly] I'd like to tackle any hurdles before I officially announce a complete kit. Unfortunately though, after we have some data and I announce a complete kit up for sale, I'm going to have to raise the price to cover the developement costs involved. Thanks man, Eric
  24. Thanks guys, the toughest parts I find is to produce this as a kit, and not a one off build just for myself. There's a lot of time invested in making sure the kit installs easily and is complete as possible. It's getting there Eric
