  1. More pics of the motor finishing up. Intake manifold before bead blasting, still raw finish. Thanks! Eric
  2. Hi Alex, Ed's an NA application so we can use a 1018 steel. There's not a whole lot of stress on the manis normally, but a little insurance under high rpm can't hurt. Fast forward to a TT application, and we have to switch to a much more stiff 17-4 staineless. It has a yield strength of 110,000psi so it's going to resist any sort of flex. The braces simple affix to the top of the mains and longer bolts used. This with our upcoming billet 4 bolt splayed mains will result in a very stable bottom end. Thanks! Eric
  3. On a high compression NA application and an aggressive set of cams, the motor is in the 500-550 range. Right now, there's a 13:1CR race NA motor making 690HP revving out to 9000rpm with the same crank. On a more down to earth motor running a more pump gas friendly 11:1 and a set of cams with good lift and duration, 500-550HP is right in the sweet spot. Torque is right in that same range as well. Thanks! Eric
  4. Hi Darryl, Are we talking on a high compression NA or TT applacation? Eric
  5. Hahhahaha, stabbing the throttle would make it all worth while Eric
  6. Hi guys, We have one 5.4L stroker kit in stock right now, and our shcedule will be open after we finish with Ed's V8 build in a few days. Normally it takes up to 6 months to build one off these stroker kits, sometimes longer. But we have one sitting here on the shelf. We'd like offer a complete stroker motor build here on the forums. It will have to be first come, first served on this build because there is only one 5.4L kit to go around right now. Please PM me for details and we can get the ball rolling. Here's a pic or two of the stroker crank, and of the last 5.4L stroker motor we've built. Finished product Thanks gents, Eric
  7. More pics of the motor is it's final stages of assembly. Ed is in essences getting a new motor. Thanks! Eric
  8. They're a massive set of steamrollers Eric

    V8 Supra

Ahhhh, what's your goals for the engine? So far, I know of a stroked 2uz Toyota V8 making 690HP NA. Granted it's higher strung, but it's making power. Are you going to stay NA or go TT? Thanks man, Eric

    V8 Supra

No, I mean why not the Toyota V8 instead of the Ford or GM? Eric

I respect that you do not want the Toyota, but may I ask why? Eric
  12. Hi guys, Here's a quick update. We made a set of braces for the 2uz motor to keep the main caps tight under high rpm. A little extra insureance can go a long way.
  13. The key is to keep away from the distributor type. They're not so conducinve to performance. The coil on plug models is where it's at. Eric
  14. The motor in my car sounds like sweet cream butter and I have 100% confidence that yours is going to be the same way. We generally don't start them up before they ship, but it can be arranged if you like. Thanks again! Eric
  15. Right, the 2uz is an iron block and is a tad heavier than the 2jz. However it moves the weight further towards the center and not so much is hanging over the nose. I think botachi is talking about Tq off the line, which being a V8 with 57% more displacement, more toq is inherent. Thanks! Eric
  16. Thanks Ed, it's all looking very good. I can't wait to hear yours fire up as well! Eric
  17. Some pics of the shortblock coming together. The heads are ready to go on as of this afternoon. Thanks! Looking great! Eric
  18. Hmmm, the kit w/ crank, bearings, rods, and pistons is ~3900GBP. Eric
  19. HAHahhaha... nah, it's not that valuable. Nice piece, but not worth as much as a MKIV. Eric
  20. I'm sure we could. We don't make this piece, it's sourced from one of the best crank builders in the USA. It's for the 1/2/3uz engine , yes. Displacement jumps to 4.7L (1uz), 5.0L (3uz), and 5.4L (2uz). Thanks!! Eric
  21. Starts out as 9310, but the manufacturer orders his own special mixture from the suppiler to make it extra hard. Word is there's about 6 other elements he orders in mixed in, but only extra vanadium is known to be in more abundance for sure. One of those trade sccrets. Thanks ! Eric
  22. After a long wait time, another V8 stroker crank is finally in. As you guys know, I'm all about the Toyota V8. Specs are: 3.750" stroke (5.4L on a TT motor) Billet 9xxx hardended steel construction (everyone else uses 4340) Balanced with cam grinding rather than relying solely on mallory Extended keyway This one beautiful stroker crank, and I am proud to display it. Our goal is to always have on the shelf ready to go, so we have another one on order presently. Thanks! Eric
