I'm having my brakes refurbed and am undecided which colour I should go for once they are ready for paint. As you can see from the picture they're currently black but I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with that colour. When I had my car sprayed I had some of the purple mixed in with the graphite on my wheels. What colour do you guys think I should go for?

Evening all, I hope you all a had super Christmas Day yesterday. My dad was driving his car on Christmas Eve and he could hear a tapping coming from underneath so stopped and had a look to see what was what. He saw this hanging off so pulled it off so he could carry on. Is it this part here? If it is, how important is it to get it replaced?

I've already got some pads Clay and anyway why the hell would I want he's super dooper Fast Road pads when it's for a NA In fact why the the hell am I bothering at all? I can't go fast enough to warrant brakes in my slooooow NA

After speaking to you on the phone Chris (top bloke BTW) I'm thinking of taking all four calipers off the car and sending them up to you to work your magic on them. I'd rather have all for done in one go than mess about doing just the fronts now and then in a couple of weeks/months having to get the rears done. I'll email you regarding this and we'll go from there if that's ok?

Toyota want £550 for new calipers and carriers for both sides Biggred haven't got any in stock so will want mine to do and will be £200. Time to ring Chris and see how much his refurb kit is

So I've had it looked at and the top slider pin was stuck due to degradation of the rubber boot and also one of the pistons was seized . Now to source parts.

Hi buddy, nope still in Kent (Trashford). I'm going to see if I can get someone to come around tomorrow and have a gander at them and see what's what. If I get no joy your offer of coming down would be much appreciated. Can I let you know tomorrow how I get on and we'll go from there?

I took the wheel off and had a look to see what's what. I rang Keron to see if he had any refurbed calipers in stock and he also said it might just be the slider pins. Had another look and decided I didn't have a clue so put the wheel back on and parked it up My dad came over and we chatted about s**t and then my neighbour came home from work and we started talking a bout his Porsche he's got locked in his garage. Oh well tomorrow is another day and I'll get it looked at by someone that knows what they're looking at

I've got the j spec ones. How dangerous is it to carry on driving? My work is about 6 miles away and use it to get there.

Cheers mate. Do you think when I change the discs and pads it will free it up or is the caliper knackered?

Morning all, I use my car as daily and on the way home from work last night the car didn't seem right. Something made me think I had a puncture on the N/S/F. I got out and had a look and all was fine so I checked the disc and my god it was hot and I mean really hot. I checked the O/S/F and that was warm but nothing like the other side. My question is what would cause this? I've already got some new discs and pads in my garage ready to go on the front but could it be something else causing that disc to get redders?

The spool inside that the wires wrap around has broken up. I'm ringing Keron on Monday as he's got all the bits I need in stock.

Can't believe this has just happened to my drivers side window grrrrr!! This is what's broken What is it I'm going to need? I've had a look at the passenger side and this is how it's supposed to look( I think).
