  7. I dont mean to be rude but that means absolutely nothing, ive had many young mechanics under my wing over the last few years who claim to have all this 'experience' and have these 'qualifications' and i can tell you now not one had the slightest clue so that is a bit of a bold statement in my opinion.
  8. After doing a five speed on my back i can tell you now getting the 6 speed out wont of been the easiest of tasks as its considerable larger!
  9. Its an fantastic exhaust and sounds awesome even on an NA. I love mine.
  10. Excuse my ignorance but that is the most stupidest idea ive ever heard. Want an aerotop then just buy one!
  11. Its hard to say whether thats the right way to go as one set of cams made by one company will always be different to another set made by a different company. Mid range is ideal as it gives you the flexibility to go to the higher range or lower range if needed. Id measure the clearances on the stock cams and compare them to the new cams and make adjustments, if need be, from there. Then again i wouldnt listen to me about anything technical after ive had a few drinks.
  12. Shimming can vary between being nice and easy, no need for reshimming, or an absolute ball ache, lots of shims needing to be replaced. Regardless you need to check the clearances and make sure there as close to or within spec. Personally id try to aim to get them as close to the middle of the range but thats not always a possibility and higher range shims are needed.

    Decat

See i read that as if you were saying a 2.5" will fit and a 3" wouldn't which would be completely untrue as its the same pipe with just larger diameter piping but ill give you the benefit of the doubt and you didnt actually mean that Like when a vac like comes off for example and you get no midrange kick ?

Curious logic you have there, whats different about a 3" decat fitment in regards to 2.5".
  16. I guess the sound of your starving fuel pump is blocked out by the big blowy thing up front
  17. Ok ill have a look, think ive got 2 somewhere.
  18. Think ive got a few spare, how many are you after?
  19. See i suspected that also but i can jack the car up with the weight just off the wheels and quite easily turn the spring which is why i suspect its that that is causing the rear end shuffling. Like i said its only minor but i can feel it when on the bumpy country back roads.
  20. You find them alot on the likes of audi's and BMW's so they must be legal
  21. Same place as where the standard one is. The only difference will be you will need to wire it in to get power to it.
