They are already tinted. I just wanted to be honest just incase Im unfortunate to crash this winter they cannot pin anything on me and not payout.

Well I got a reply back from my useless insurance company....
Thank you for your e-mail.
I have re checked the quote advised to have the rear window tinted and the
increase in premium of £196.52 is correct. I have refered this also to my
manager for you and they have advised this is correct. Our underwriters set
the premium and when a car is modified this is seen as a higher risk. The car
is seen as being more attractive and therefor increase the chance of a theft.
If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me on the

birth and postcode in any e-mails sent to Admiral to comply with Data

Yours sincerely

AA Loans - Is where i got my loan from. Its around 6-7% at the moment and you get a free 6month warranty on your car providing its within 10 years old (DOH!)

Oem??
in Supra Chat
if theyre specific to another supra i.e larger uk brakes put on to replace lil jspec then its a mod and would need to be declared....i believe...Do you think that would put insurance down? Surely it should seeing as they are safer brakes and they charge for just about everything else!
-
Yeh that is a point...but I think cream would look lovely. Maybe many coats?
Im thinking of trying out in bright blue to see what it looks like, and then maybe go black afterwards if I dont like it.

Been readin through this thread:
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=119601
Looks like a really good idea and I'l have to give it a go....
but i was wondering whether it would look tacky to maybe go a different colour other than black for the floor mats?
I have a blue car with cream leather interior. I was thinking maybe blue or cream????
What do you think?

That looks wicked! How easy would they be to fit, or should it be done profesisionally?
-
Welcome

You might see me in the front seat of the mrs Pug on the way to the park n ride, but you wont see the MR2 any more. Its sold
Got a blue supe now! See ya on the roads!
-
Do you use it, and if so who do you use?
I am looking around with Winter coming up and RAC and AA look so much more expensive than 'RescueMyCar.com' and 'First Call' who I found using a comparison site.
RescueMyCar.com will cover you for everything for only £45 whereas RAC/AA same package is well over £100

I have tinted rear windows, and my insurance company are trying to squeeze another £195 out of me just because of this. I dont know why but i have not got a clue how they can justify that cost.
All my other mods are declared, but I mentioned 'I was getting' tinted windows and they said it will cost £195 to insure them!!

Well its close between the clear and crystal clear. I do really like the crystal clears, but I am put off because they are not Road Legal and not 'E approved' like the clears.
Hmmmm decisions decisions...
Oh yeh just checked out your car SupraStar, very nice!! Like your subs in the back. Which ones are they and what is that Supra Strip along the edge?
-
What does 'E approved' mean?
-
Crystal clears look nice to me
cheap as well
Yeh, I do have my eye on the crystal clears. They are what jumped out at me
-
Toyota Clear Side Repeaters get my vote.
Nice soop btw
Thanks...
You voted for the crystal clear though:blink:

I am just looking at getting some new side indicators and puzzled at which to go for.
What do you think would look best from these four options:

I really wanted to, but thought it would be a bit big at the bottom and look silly. Also, I thought I would probably get pulled if it was like that.
Im definately interested in the small front mounted plates though, looks much neater imo
-
I do like my Veilside side skirts,
but If i had the money I think I would go Wide Arched and get these skirts!!

Theres a loud high pitched squeak noise coming from my front drivers side wheel whenever i brake very slowly.
The pads appear to have a lot of tread left and the discs look fine.
What else might it be?
-
Oh my God!!! I WON £6.40!!!!!
-
All done now. I disconnected it to be safe as the instructions said to do so. Its so fiddly getting the dash out but its all done OK now.
The only annoyance is that with my new head unit as soon as the ignition is started the aerial comes up no matter what setting you are on. Thinking about pulling it all out again and disconnecting the aerial
-
Iv sorted it lol - it was because I had not put the casing back over the gear stick. Thats an impressive alarm lol
-
OK, I replaced head unit and did everything back up and now the car wont start.
Is it something to do with my Toad Ai606 alarm because it looks to me like an immobiliser function. I have tried all the buttons on my fob and nothing works :-(

Yeh, people must have spent hours on that car. But I agree it looks absolutely hideous.
With the time and money that has gone into that it could be a masterpiece
