OK you know , battery OK , power on key position 1, position 2 and nothing on position 3, no start nothing. Searched and searched the forum and the diagnosis was the starter motor contacts so bought the bits from Toyota and followed Supraloopy's how to.. hey presto Refurbished starter motor. did it work NO searched again and found on old article about the exact same symptoms i pm'd TLicense for a few pointers on his previous experience and tested the circuits as he suggested sending power straight to the starter through connector 5 starter relay started the car but turning the key did not ordered a new STARTER RELAY from Toyota £40 ! (arrived today) and now the problem is sorted didn't mind doing the starter motor but boy its an awkward job. happy now though cheers Tony regards Jamie

ACTIVE SPOILER Drops at 60 mph Button as described, drops it when key in positition 2 goes back up when car starts if you wanted it to stay down you can remove the fuse, but this illuninates the waring triangle and causes the active spoiler light to flash for use at shows I created a switch (wired both sides of a separated fuse, put in an inline fuse. then to a switch) so i can overide it without having to muck about taking fuses out all the time. regards jamie
