yeah but even on an auto??? im not worried if it is a characteristic, but im an absolute perfectionist. If there is something slightly wrong with the car, it mortifies me. So it really can happen to a perfectly fuctioning auto box occasionally??? If so then i can accept that, but it means something more serious, i would like to know

No its not that, i had taken it to well over 150 prior to this. It was as if it didnt go into the final gear and went into neutral instead instead. It was like major clutch slip,

I have a jap tt auto I was taking the car out for a spin last night, and after a couple of hours driving had accellerated hard with overdrive on from a rolling start of about 40mph. When i reached 120 leps, i suddenly had a complete loss of pwer, the revs jumped right up and hit the rev counter. Basically it seemed like it wouldnt hit the final gear. I have never had this before. I got no error lights or anything thing like tht and it has driven fine since then, not tested at that speed again though. Should i be worried or do you think this will be a one off??

It really is what you prefer, but people who say the auto is shit, do not know what they are talking about at all. Because it isnt. Its an excellent auto box. Most people who say the auto is shit have never driven an auto supra, and most probably havent even driven an auto car. I personally would change to the manual, as i like the auto box so much. The manual is also good, and i have actually driven all three, auto 5speed and 6 speed. The auto is the one for me. -

Yeah I would report them, i get pissed off with companies who follow their own rules for their own benefit whether they provide a good service or not.. i dont even have sky insurance and this annoys me!! -
you would probably have to reset your ecu to get the benefit out of it though, then so many miles for it to relearn how to use the fuel:innocent:

i doubt that will be very performance simpathetic, and doesnt seem like a healthy mod to your engine. Personally, i think the "pigeon" sound is terrible, and anyway there are plenty of bov which can sound simular to tht:search:

the stock one on my tt is loud enough for me, but if i went after market i would go hks ssqv as you can change the noise of it by fitting different rings on it. Can change from high to low pitch whenever u want!

Well if you live in the south maybe so But where I live in the midlands, we dont even have TESCO 99 RON!!! Im still waiting for that to arrive!! Most BP garages dont have normal ultimate and there is one shell garage in the whole city! So not easy to get decent fuel where I live:(
