I have noises coming from the back of my car
I have bought a full set of rear rubbers.....just waiting for my pencil blow torch/gas soldering iron to arrive off the internet to fit them.
These are to get rid of the knocking noises....but there is another noise. Its kind of a squeek, and you can hear it when you accelerate from standing...almost as if something is compressing. Will this be the rubbers compressing? or could is be suspension bushes?
It comes from the back drivers side.
If it is the bushes....any ideas on a fix price?
Cheers people.

I would have done. I only asked for a price for a cambelt though. Thats all I wanted to change.

thanks a lot Terry.
Is the company yours by the way? how much for a service? A and B.
Just for my records.
Ahhh. That sounds like a better price. Do you work at weekends?

I got a quote from another Toyota dealer, £272!
Terry, you are right is was Mark AND Paul. Spoke to mark first, missed his call back, the Paul filled me in on the price. Is £240 really the best you can do there? I know Pual said he will drain and refill my rad too.....but if it knocks £100 of the price I will gladly drain it for you! and fill it back up when your done. lol
Can't you get near the Toyoda Tech price? I know I can trust you, Matt Harwood told me how good you are. (He tried to get some workshop time a couple of weeks ago to fit an alarm....mine
)

Just called Toyotas head office and they told me the garage was correct and don't need to work on my car if they don't want to.

I am looking to get a new cam belt but toyota near me say they won't touch my car as its a jap spec! The place they recommend cost £310!!!
Terry at pheonix quoted me £240, but looking on here some of you have had it done for £145. Where can I go to get it done at around that price?
I am based on london.
cheers!

I have just spoken to bonsaicars.com about trying to get the digital odo converted to miles. They told me it will be classed as clocking it!
Has anyone had the odo converted? had any troubles with MOT?
If anyone has had this done in the london area, please let me know where I can get it done. somewhere that will issue a certificate please!
-
whats to explain! I have a BIMTA certificate to say how many Km's it has done. All I would say is the clocks have been converted to miles.
Wouldn't you think that is fine?
I wouldn't say the car had been clocked, I would say it had been converted to miles from Km. Wouldn't you?

I have had the Thor delimiter and speedo fitted and want the readout on the odo to be in miles and not kilometers.
I understand the Thor can add to the odo in miles or kilometers, but the existing figure stays as it is.
i.e. The odo says 95,000Km, if I have the thor outputting miles it add miles to the existing 95,000. If I do 10 more miles the new reading will show 95,010.
As you can't roll back the figures I need an odo that is at 60,000 or less so I can set it to the correct miles before I connect it to the mile output wire.
Otherwise I will have to say the clock shows miles only if you subtract 95000 and add 60000 odd to the figure displayed! not ideal.
Anyone got one?

Had my supra a week now and loving it. The driver side floor mat had been pushed right forward for no reason....or so I thought until 5 mins ago.
I just pulled the mat back to position it correctly and discovered it has been cut in half!!
Anybody know where I can get some new mats? Grey with supra logos.
or
does anybody have any they are willing to part with?
cheers!

If you like momo check this guy out!
Like momo but not branded....hence a lot cheaper!
He tells me the quality is the same as momo but I can't comment as mine is still in the post.
He also sells Boss kits for £10!!
Check out his ebay shop for different designs.

Are the tyres good?

Right. My sup was missing the lighter....so I bought one from halfords.
The lighter didn't fit in the hole....too big. So I ripped out the old unit and put the new one in....but it does fit, and the connector is different.
So now I have a hole in the dash......anyone have a spare?
-
ok....how can I access it? what program are you sharing it on? don't worry about being technical, I will understand

ok....bit of an old thread but very good.
One question.....where is the illumination dial! I just got my supra and did think it was strange there was no illumination dial as Jap cars usually have them. Last car was a mazda, thats what why I thought of it.....its not a function I usually look for!

I am about to paint my dash, but after seeing those pics of a printed pattern it does look good. I don't want carbon though, would prefer to try and get it as standard looking as possible. I was going to paint is satain black. Any other ideas? How easy is it to stick the film on? best method?
cheers.
