ok got the new sparkies in today, that was easy. got nothing left to do now :(

was going to install the intercooler but the ducting and brackets for it are missing

Install the engine? You dont need the dials, intercooler or ps pot to put the TT lump in. :D Or perhaps I should get off my lazy arse and post those bits to you. ;)

While you have the gearbox out I would really appreciate it if you possibly photograph and point out the fluid fill point and drain point. I really am tempted to do what you are doing over the winter in my unit. I love tinkering with cars and would get a lot of satisfaction out of it.

Keep up the good work fella

Dave

How has it effected your insurance? Also is there a charge from the DVLA? Looking really good by the way.:)

Ive asked this question to DVLA when i started to think about doing this.

Answer: Theres no charge unless you need to replace the logbook. Im pretty sure they told me to just send them a letter, the logbook and the engine code and they'll reprint it free of charge! :)

Sorry to say it mate, but that IC looks absolutely shot! I would really reconsider putting that in.

Edit - I have a front duct for the stock IC if you want it?

I think he's been given the wrong on, it doesnt look like the one I had put aside, it looks as though the actual mounts have broken off.

Mike, I have a better smic here you can have.
