Hi

I wonder if anyone knows name of this connector on windscreen? Carwash jet wash blew it away and I've a gap now where the 2 ends of rubber meet.

I could only find this on eBay but for completely different car but so you know what I'm on about.

Even if a generic one. For some reason the forum won't let me upload a pic of the part.

Thanks

I replaced mine after I painted my supra last summer. I did it with the glass in, but it's a real pain to do.

I did actually end up having to cut the seal and put the join tight at the bottom in the centre.

It's hardly noticeable, but I know Mark Cattle managed to do it without cutting his.

If I did it again, I'd definitely pay to have the glass removed

Replacing the seal is fairly easy with rear screen in, done it twice now! It is one piece as Gaz says, make sure there is no sealant in the groove between the glass and rear hatch as that will stop the seal from clipping under the glass. a little wd40 helps as well.

Just be careful not to use anything sharp to push the seal into the gap, you will poke through it. And patience, lots and lots of patience ;)

Thanks - if someone knows a clip which will help i'll try that first as would be much easier. If not i'll go for whifbitz full replacement route. thanks
You might be better off speaking to a windscreen company such as auto glass. Their fitters likely carry a plethora of bits and pieces, and may be able to offer a universal replacement rubber to avoid having the screen removed
