Moving my Supra.

Due to family issues my Supra has been standing for a couple of years, I am now in the position to get it recommissioned and back on the road.

I need to disengage the Auto box to enable me to get in on to a tow truck. How do I do this? and do I need a battery attached? Thanks in advance.

You can just tow it onto a truck, dont worry about it. To disengage the the shift lock hold the red button next to the shifter and move it to N

Press the red button foot on brake. Then put into N . Job done

Cheers for the replies, will get it done. Any tips on parts that might need changing after standing for that amount of time? Have bought all new rubber water and air pipes and new discs/pads.

So can you tow it this way if needed too to!

Cheers mate, need to get it from Kent to Essex, around 70 miles, hence the tow truck.

Just have look over the engine, see what needs replacing, might be OK.

Just to clarify, tow and in put it on a truck, not tow as in tow behind a truck?

Have had a good look round, seems to be mainly perished rubber hoses, which will all be replaced. All of the ancillary pulley's are rusty but should clean up ok and I will replace all of the belts.

Yes, will be putting on to a truck for removal and not towing behind.

Car has only done 40k so everything else should be ok.

In that case just put it in neutral, job done

Said goodbye to the Supra today.

Hopefully will be driving it back home in a couple of weeks and be able to use it once again.
