Nuisance calls

Register your number on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Then anyone who calls tell them you're registered on the service and that they're committing an offence calling you. Ask to be removed from their call lists. Eventually it should die down.

Would that work as this isn't sales or marketing ? It's pre recorded scam call

Even if it's a pre-recorded message, they are still getting your details from a database somewhere I would have thought. So if you register your numbers with TPS it makes it illegal for them to obtain your details and call you.

I'd give it a go, costs nothing and you have nothing to lose.

Once you've registered with them, call the company who keeps calling you and tell them to remove your details as you're on the TPS and it's illegal for them to pester you. Plus they must conform to GDPR regulations.

I keep getting annoying scam calls 3 times a day and all it says on the display on the phone is Internet, if you answer it’s totally silent and the line cuts of a few seconds later! How would the TPS thingy work on this type of call?
