Have anyone replaced the windscreen trim moulding without removing the windshield?

Has anybody ever replaced the trim while leaving the glass in place? I know it is meant to take the windshield off but it is doable without taking the glass out?

Yes, I did it last summer

Easy job. The rear windscreen rubber however is a total sod to do

Yes, but it's a pig to do. Fitting the new one is even worse with the glass in, but it can be done

the originals are bonded in with the glass. they are clipped onto the glass first before you fit them. so a new genuine seal will not fit / seal correctly without removing the screen.

I replaced mine last summer with a genuine one, and didn't remove the screen

Amayama is a website where you have to register, and you can order parts directly from Japan or UAE. You need to input the part numbers to search, and these can be found on megazip or toyodiy
