Friend has a standard skyline gtst with hks exhaust and cat in situ and link ecu

 

He has failed the emissions test by 0.01, car was up to temp, recent service

 

Any advice?

take it somewhere else, not trying to be smart but i'm sure other places wouldn't fail it that close

I'm not so sure - the MOT system is heavily computerised and has pass/fail thresholds for a reason. They won't even let you abort a test part way through to fix simple stuff like 'obstructed visibility' due to a satnav mount on the windscreen, they have to see it through.

Last few fellas down here in Limerick will go at it again if its that close. I used Cataclean years ago for an old Civic....
