Number plate flipper on OEM front bumper

Anyone fitted one of these to an oem front bumper before?

    http://www.speedflip.com/product-pag...rol-flip-plate

Curious of how much of the section in front of the fmic has to be cut away? Any close up pics would be good

The best one I ever saw was on Steve M's old car, it had been cut away and sunk up into the bumper and it looked great it meant when it was folded away it didnt hand really low like most do when they are just screwed on

Ric did one on his, looks to be a similar kit to his as well.

I've got a mechanical one in my garage somewhere. Just needs to be flipped manually instead of using a motor but I never got around to fitting it

Steve's is definitely the best looking one I've seen, tucked up out of sight completely.
Currently undergoing a major overhaul including: Engine rebuild by Littlenum, PHR Street Torque kit with PT 6266 turbo, Custom 3.5" exhaust, Whifbtiz DCT conversion, Syvecs S6+, Brembo Big Brake upgrade, Underbody treatment including powder coated subframes, modified rear arches for new wheels, Full respray in new colour. etc etc etc

TBH it will rarely be down. Just when the old bill are watching. I have decided the front plate has to go. This seems the best solution

One thing I will say is be careful it is illegal to have one fitted as far as im aware, and if caught you could see a fine and points or worse. If you simply dont have one fitted all you can get is a fine NO points. Been about 5 years since I ran a plate on my supras.

The ideal type would be front and rear that are connected to a GPS system that flicks them up every time you are near a camera position...just in case totally illegal mind, or even better plates that could be made to go completely yellow/white.

mine is manual so you can't be accused of flipping it up whilst going past a camera.

People who i drive with will notice me stopping after a few minutes leaving a show because ive forgotton to flip it down!

Although i think im going to remove mine and just use a static plate - https://www.staticplates.com/
