So....... where do I start a dream build since the age of 12, having the car within the family since 1998! As a child who would have thought I would be following the modified scene!!

I always dreamed of the impossible since the age of 12 I use to buy so many magazines from max power to banzai, the days when I use to see the big twin supra builds, to box hill meets. Today I am here to share the impossible, to make my dream possible to fullfill my life journey. I have big plans once the car is complete, to inspire young children, to do charity events and most important to WIN my trophies and front page magazine features that I dreamed about since the age of 12!!!!

I welcome you nerds to subscribe to my build thread, we all love pictures so here I begin the day my project started since the age of 17, where the car was factory silver 1996 facelift twin turbo. These are the only pictures I could find and the day I regret adding the veilside over fenders.........

image

Notice the Micra, Haha I still own one as a daily driver to this day!

I had seen so many images online that had inspired me to follow the veilside presence, in reality the car looked like a "FAT" not "PHAT" wide body space ship!

That's when I attended the Boxhill meet, my first ever car show meet and I remember seeing a supra in red, all eyes were around the supra, the complete look inspired me to fall in love.

This was the day, took me 1 year to convince my father who had owned his garage to respray my car black with a different external modification.

The meet pictures that had inspired me to fall in love with an amazing car.

Chaaaaa Ching, at the age of 20 I managed to achieve the external presence I had desired since the Boxhill meet, this was in my eyes the perfect supra. I always fancied "Deep Dish" big stance wheels and the man who provided me with custom wheels from Braid, the one and only Ibrar :).

External modifications:

Braid wheels

Late do luck front

Late do luck front fenders

Late do luck side skirts

Trial rear

Ganador mirrors

RMM TRD rear wing

TRD vented bonnet, SOLD replaced with the original.

All parts were genuine and sourced via Sumopower.

The car had been maintained and serviced by Lee at SRD, from the back of my memeroy around 2008 onwards. The car looked perfect in my eyes, low mileage had been parked majority of the time. Since achieving the desired presence, the car had so many imperfections;

1. Silver engine bay.

2. Standard TT.

3. Compression issues, due to being parked.

4. Imperfection bodywork/paint.

I had now realised the competition, although the car gathered presence with the crowd, there was so many imperfections that let the whole car down.

This is how the car stood prior to the Dream build.

In 2014 my brother had recommended his friend regarding a full respray as the imperfections always let the car down. This time I also contacted LeeP at SRD for a complete single rebuild running the HKS T04Z built engine etc. We discussed the build and decided based on my funds I would start ordering the parts via SRD and time scale for the car to go in for the build.

This than had given me plenty of time for a complete respray via my brothers friend! The same time I decided to work on my interior. I sold the replica Recaro seats, removed the chrome stick on dash and replaced the seats with genuine Recaro speed.

Pictures of the genuine compared to the replica on bride rails:

The car then had its finally MOT in 2014, still maintaining low mileage history 17,000 odd miles, these were the pictures before the car was stripped via myself at my brothers friend of a friends! Work shop.

I spent the whole day stripping the car at the garage, you can see the imperfections.

The garage had over 1 year to respray my car, in the meantime LeeP at SRD had been updating me regular with the parts that were slowly coming in for the build, July/August 2014.

HKS T04Z, plus built engine parts etc, the plan was to run 700BHP with few new underside parts.

We decided to switch to an Hyper tune manifold considering the length of the build, gave me time to save.

The reason why I went with the T04Z turbo kit;

I had also ordered some parts from the previous group buy by Callaway motorsport, plus this lovely Nardi steering wheel and detailed washers by sick speed. :cool:.

PHR pulley set/oil cap, plus sick speed detailed washers.

The year had passed my supra had not much progress on the respray, due to his mum having cancer, although he had promised my car would be done before January 2015! The same time Lee discussed any extra parts I wanted to add in terms of quality. We achieved this goal as I had the oppportunity to work so much overtime available, the hardest part about building the supra working 7 days a week sometimes, to 14 hour shifts.

The guy who was respraying my car was a complete TOOL! Every time I payed him a visit he was too busy smoking/drinking and giving me false promises.

Finally after complaining constantly, he had primered the whole car 5th October 2014.

On the 11th December 2014 the car was still not sprayed, due to my build changing for the better I decided I wanted the inside of the car sprayed. Time was ticking.......

The last set of pictures were January 18th-23rd 2015, judging by the pictures you can see he has failed to complete the whole car on the agreed time, let alone prep any of the body kit......

I contacted Lee and explained the whole situation the body shop had messed me about, so unfortunately the build could not commence and Lee had other clients waiting to build their projects. Lee discussed with me other options regarding bodywork and suggested Simon Autobody solutions, AKA Baldy. The same time we discussed other options regarding engine bay smoothing, so the next step was to retrieve my car from this alcoholic guy who failed to finish the respray, let alone prep any body kit.

March 2015, upon receiving the car and inspection you can clearly tell by the pictures the short cut that was gone into respraying partial bits.....Details can be found on this thread;

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?307777-Batmobile-SR/page6

I had asked him to treat the surface rust on the underside and under seal.....I guess he used spray tin under seal without treatment.

Paint chipping plus poor prep work.

Clown used a different paint code to the one I requested!

I asked him to remove a Brocken nut, he told me I need to go to a specialist, yet I removed it myself within 5 minutes!

Judging by these pictures with intense phone light, you can see he failed to apply base coat paint!
