Silly question but how do you just pop them off? They seem to be on a tapered spline which means they will require some sort of levering?

I think you need a wiper arm removal tool, I tried just undoing the nut and tweaking mine (I think I'm one spline out on the passenger side - it sticks up above the bonnet line) but fully wedged on.....I think I bought a cheapo tool but it have enough clearance to work.

That's what I thought, I tried to get mine off some while back but was concerned about damaging the bonnet. I want to remove mine to paint them and also get the plastic cover underneath them powder coated, as its started to dull off a bit.
