New Top Gear

I'm finding it a bit cringeworthy so far with Chris using phrases from the old show and trying to be funny. I'm sure he was told what to say, as it worked with the old three, but they should have changed it IMO.

Let's hope Grand Tour is decent!

It's the Chris Evans show. God I wish he would just shut up for a couple of minutes.

Not watching it, but sounds like it's just a carbon copy of the old top gear and Evans is pissing everyone off lol

It trumps Eastenders for televised tragedy.

I watched it and have to say total rubbish, Chris Evans has ruined it. Can't believe how bad it was

Extra gear on bbc3 online, extra unseen bits

I didnt mind it to be fair.

Deffo not as bad as some are making out.

Chris Evans has ruined it. Although I thought Matt Leblanc was actually half decent.

Exactly like old Top Gear, chemistry will take time to build but I liked it.

On BBC3 now is Extra Gear, with professional bore Chris Harris

I thought it was similar to the old one but still OK. I do prefer Matt Leblanc to Chris Evans though give it a chance though it's only their first show. Still prefer 5th gear though on channel 5

The problem with this show is its identical.

It's too scripted.

They have tried to keep it the same because it worked before, but that was because of the trio.

The jokes aren't funny, they don't work well together in that environment and it's too scripted.

Even Sabine had no idea what she was saying with the top gun references.

I honestly thought they would change it and make their own but they failed.

I couldn't stand it.

I know the old top gear got boring and scripted badly, but this episode was a joke.

I thought Matt Le Blanc was quite good, the problem was Chris Evans non stop, irritating commentary, and that Evans and Le Blanc don't have any chemistry.

Matt le Blanc was ok, other wise fecking TFi Friday meets TG, christ he's annoying. Why did Jeremy have to punch that producer!!!!!!!!

Watched it even though I can't stand Evans, too much of a copy, Evans speaking / acting like Clarkson was awful

This exactly,thought they would have been smart enough to change the profile of the show,it has all the attributes which annoyed me with the original.A chance missed I think.

Chris Evans is the most annoying prat on the box.

Going by a guy on my Facebook, because I didn't watch top gear then I'm not a real petrolhead... It actually amazes me how people think they know everything about cars all from a tv show

Don't script it and it would be 100000 x better

The thing to remember is that it took years for the Clarkson 'era' to settle into place. He wasn't the same presenter at the start as he was when he left. If the internet had been around at the time I'm sure people would have been moaning about how it's not as good without William Woolard.

I've not watched an episode for years but enjoyed this new show enough to watch all the way through and I'll watch next week too.
