Big Mark Posted August 30, 2015 Share Posted August 30, 2015 I've fitted 15mm hubcentric wheel spacers on the rear and they are the type that bolt to the existing studs and then you bolt the wheels to the new studs in the spacer. They work fine with no issues at all but my one concern is that the new studs have only 15mm of aluminium (minus the depth of the recess) holding them in the spacer. Is any one else running 15mm spacers and if so do you have the same type or do you have the ones where you replace the factory studs with longer ones? Big Mark Posted August 30, 2015 Author Share Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) I thinking of replacing mine with ones that slide over longer studs as not sure I trust 15mm of aluminium with studs pressed in it to be strong enough. Guest Marks Posted September 3, 2015 Share Posted September 3, 2015 Bolt on spacers are better and safer. Its not like its threaded in to the aluminium and can strip and pull out. It would need to destroy the spacer completely to fail. Never going to happen. Certainly a better option than a cantilever load against extended studs.
