Water leaking into boot

Hi guys

I hope someone had a similar problem. If it rains heavily, I get water leaking in somewhere on the left of the boot. It collects in the cover of the bootlid so when I open it, the water drains out. It's not much, but still an annoyance. I've taken the plastic off but cant see there it's coming in. Thought it might be from the the spoiler bolts?

Any help appreciated

Has anyone solved this problem as I have the same thing happened to me.

Mine was due to the Rubber seal on the rear window, it was perished round the bottom left part. Had the seal replaced and the small rust spot treated and viola! No more leaks

Where the boot stop rubber bits are there is a gap under it that flows the water down the back, it can get blocked with dirt ect, cleaned mine and another members ones out that solved the issue, I use wire coat hanger could take off if they ok or use a compressor....

The lower corners of the rear window are one of the very few areas that Supras are prone to rust. Could be because the drains get blocked, or the window seal itself perishes.

I have removed all rust from the bootlid and treated the rust filled in wiper and sanded all don repainted the bootlid Sealed around the window with silicone sealed the spoiler checked all drainage points still leaking like a sieve. What's left to do getting frustrated now taken a lot of effort on it Where can I get a new seal from also thinking of buying a brand new fibre glass bootlid I've seen on eBay.

I solved this problem by buying a new bootlid.

Does anyone know if Toyota still stocks the spoiler seals, if not does anyone know what they are made out of in case I have to make some up.

Give them a call to find out.

I suppose any butel strip would work as long as it gaskets the hole(s) (3 per side)

I am having the same issue but mine occurred after the car stood still for months.

I took the car for car wash and was expecting the boot to be wet but it was dry.

I took the hatchback panel off yesterday and poured water on the hatch but no water coming in.

Decided to leave it off and keep an eye on it. With the back seats folded I get a perfect view.

I read something the other day which might help, make some lines with chalk along/below possible points of entry, any water running through it will remove the chalk so with some time you can potentially find your entry point?

Can someone please take a photo of their rear wiper nut seal? The round rubber seal you see at the foot of the wiper arm.

Mine doesn’t cover the whole nut and wondering should it? The leak is either coming from their or the boot spoiler bolts.

I took off the rear spoiler to give it a clean.

I have ordered the boot spoiler seals and a new rubber wiper seal from Toyota, they still do these thank god and only have to wait 2 days.
