    Uprated SMIC intercoolers, any interest?

Had an enquiry re my well known and respected side mount intercoolers and have a single unit in build at a raised price. It's not really viable for me to commission less than 4 units, anyone else interested in one? Price would be 710 plus VAT with UK insured P&P at 12.80 plus VAT. If anyone abroad wants one *THEY* must arrange all paperwork and arrange collection from me here in Shropshire. A quick search on the forum fopr CW SMIC should return feedback and photos. They are F1 quality, and a work of art. They fit as an exact and pain free replacement for your ratty and probably one third effective SMIC. People on this and other forums are seeing good intake air temps on MKIV's running 600 plus BHP. It's all in the ducting and core design... If I get 3 more orders this week I will refund the buyer of the single unit the price difference against the above price for ordering as a group buy. Payment by bank transfer or Paypal plus 4%

    Thanks.

Cheaper than a new SMIC from Toyota and far more efficient with a modern core. Retains the stock ducting and pressure differential that is part of good heat exchanger design. Unlike 99% of front mounts with bumper intakes masking up to a third of the core, no ducting to IC and no ducting to water rad, with iffy end tank designs and El Cheapo cores. Doesn't look flash, but works correctly. The thinking man's intercooler If I did a decent JZA80 front mount using a state of the art Secan core and proper tank design you'd be looking 3K plus, which is what a decent physically large race intercooler costs these days. Needless to say I wouldn't sell many

As said before, you get what you pay for.

If you look at a replacement OEM Toyota SMIC you are looking at over a Grand!! (1,082.22 IIRC)
I think 710 plus vat for this is a bargain IMO, as it had an updated core and is properly designed!

If you want to do it, do it right and do it once.

Quality units, just look at the feedback they get. But hey, lets all get ebay front mounts, theyre bound to be better...

Works out to 864.80 including VAT & Delivery which is still cheaper than an OEM with an uprated core!!

I should have thought about this before I got my FMIC, totally skipped my mind.

I'd be interested in one Chris. I've been waiting for enough interest for you to make a batch for a few months.

Can you say what would be required from a buyer, I.e, deposit/payment in full upfront, warranty and production timescale please. Might help people decide.
