I personally would take some time to find a good garage who knows what is a Supra.

Get it regularly serviced by somebody who knows what to do.

For the rest, try to enjoy it, and look around here to get a maximum of information for modifications ... I know you will have these thought quite fast if you hang around on the forum too much ;)

Bon amusement avec ta Supra.

Find somewhere that can check the boost issue is what i'd do first but just make sure

they know no what their doing, it might need going on a ramp and seeing if its got a restrictor

ring in the exhaust as i doubt it has hence the boost going over 1.2 bar

Thanks everyone for all your comments.

To be honest, modifications will come a little bit later if i have the money because i am actually minus 500000¥ lol.

I'm sure Samurai 20V lives in or around Nagoya so he might know a good Supra garage for servicing etc.

Thanks but i don't want to go in Nagoya again, i live in Tokyo and its like 4 hours if the traffic is fluid.

For the garage that know supra well, i have 3 in my mind.

Amuse, Top Secret or TRD.

They both know Supra very well.

Btw, the boost is really an issue in my car ?

Maybe this is me not driving properly the Supra ?

This is my first sport car (and first turbo car), so i may have the driving habit of a more standard car ?

I am not sure, but i think the beep occur when i push slowly the accelerator for a long time and then accelerate full throttle.

I don't think it occur when i go full throttle directly after i shifted a gear.

But i need to confirm that..

The best to test this (although not too often) is to put it in 5th gear and floor it around 3k. If it will then beep, that means that the upper alert limit that is programmed in the boost controller has been passed. By this way, the boost controller gives you a signal that you passed the safe side.

If I were you, in order to prevent damage to your engine, give one of the tuners you mentioned a visit and ask them to check your Supra.

Hi guys !

Its a disaster ! when i parked my supra last day, the front lip hit the pavement and some paint went away !

omg the front part of the supra is damn long, i have been surprised... :(

Do you have any idea of what could i do ?

And how much it can cost to me ? Unfortunately, i don't have the skills to repair it myself.

the scratch is about 1 inch size, its a small one, and there is no deformation on the body itself, but i have no idea if its possible to repair this.

Any help would be very welcome.

Maybe i should upload a picture, so you guys can tell me what do you think ?

Put a pic up as a 1" scratch is nothing to worry about and sounds

like a very simple repair.

You could possibly even use a touch up stick if it is only a scratch.

If you were too have to paint the whole bumper then for a good job

here you'd be looking at around £200 or there abouts but i doubt

you'll need to do that.

Check where the bumper attaches to the car for stress cracks, obviously

this depends on the level of force that you kit the kerb with.

Luxluc, Dnk, Thank you for taking time to explain to me.

It is still a little bit hard for me to understand 100 % of what you are saying..

So, that mean that i have to rememve that HKS red stuff ?

I wonder why the previous guy installed it then..

Unfortunately, i am not good enough in mechanics to remove it myself.

I will have to ask to someone.

About the boost controller its an EVC that looks like this.

http://www.jscspeed.com/images/catalog/category789_thumb_full.jpg

Yes, the beep is not fuel cut but the warning from HKS controller.

When you say fuel cut, do you mean the rev limiter ? When you go over some rpm it automatically stop ?

About the decatted stuff i am not sure 100%, so maybe if i take pictures of the muffler it will help.

Again, please wait until next Saturday for pictures, i will do my best.

Thank you again for your explanations !

I have this one, its very good.

pfiuuuu, i feel better..

I hope it will not cost me more than 10 000 yens...

So, it is possible to repair it without seeing any differences ?

I mean almost like it use to be before ?

Anyway, i will learn from my mistake, the front is huge, i have to be careful.

Thank you guys for your rapid answer !

Ok, after asking to a body shop specialist, it will cost me around 17000 to 20000 ¥

It just kill me that i already scratched my front bumper yet i am 500000 ¥ negative.

well, i guess i am not the only supra owner doing that...

Anyway, thank you guys for your great comments and help !

I appreciate it very much !

Merci luxluc !

@Dnk, i have absolutely no idea about that..

I guess that would make a difference in the result and price right ?

Yes mate it would but if done properly a local repair would be hard to spot and should be much cheaper

20,000 Yen is around £150 and thats too much if it is only for a local repair

@Dnk, thank you for your very nice input !

I think i will go to that place first to ask them what they think about the scratch.

Then i will see if they recommend me local painting or total bumper painting.

And if its only local repair, i will try to negotiate around 15 000 or 10 000 yen if possible.

Just one thing i would like to be sure about.

When you say local or total repair, its about the painting right ?

In my case, i think the scratch created a small cavity, so, this cavity have to be fill with a kind of mastic ?

And then, they decide if they repaint only the part that they fixed or the whole bumper, i am right ?

Sorry about my naive question.

Its my last questions.

Thank you again for your precious help !
