Why are people worried about how the parts are stood? its not like its going to scratch the paint or anything lol

Nice progress, Look forward to seeing pics of it painted

That's my thought aswell lol, it would be different if the parts were painted. I'm looking forward to seeing the paint aswell, I'm pretty sure I made the right choice regarding colour!

Everyone knows silver is the best colour for a supra and the fastest [emoji6]

But I do think a different colour or even a different type of silver would not only look better but would increase resale value. Stock silver can look very dull, and this is coming from a former owner of a silver supra.

The car is indeed going to be changing colour and it won't be silver! I was going to keep it quiet untill I got the car back, but after playing on photoshop yesterday and seeing the results I just can't wait to see the car in its new colour and out in the sun :D

I've been very hesitant about sharing this recently, I as I liked how everyone thought I was staying silver! But this is how the supra will look once it's out the body shop in a couple of weeks. I'm not posting this to get anyone's approval (cause I couldn't give a fuck!), it's more to remind myself that hard work and determination pays of in the end!

How dare you paint over that silver, looks awful ;)

It's not painted yet, I used the car in the pic as my inspiration and added my wheels, front bumper bar and facelift headlights so I can see how it would look

  • 3 weeks later...

Thought I would do a quick comparison of the car from when I got it to what it will look like once finished. I can see why everyone says I change my mind so much :rlol: :p

Not bad for 4 years of ownership (the 4 months I sold for doesn't count of lack of ownership haha)

went in past the paint shop today, most of the panels are primed and ready for some colour. Still finishing the bonnet and boot lid back to bare metal and then they are ready for primer. I also put in the final order at Toyota for a rear 1/4 window and some final seals, they should be here start of next week just in time for the car to go back together and then for its mot!

It's taken longer than estimated but there were a few little niggles needing sorted before they got serious :)
