Mine stopped beeping of their own accord just a few days ago. I reckon a fuse must have gone somewhere. I don't miss it.

Disconnect it from the back of the ignition switch, its a plug which has 2 wires going onto it.

when i first got my sup, i thought the bleep was a parking sensor or something and reversed into the back of the garage wall

luckily i was going slow and i'd stuck a load of flat pack cardboard boxes in front of the wall a few days before so no damage

still makes me laugh when i see the sup in there though

after 7 years of listening to "beepy" i really dont notice its there, i think i would miss it if it were gone now

hmmm unplugged it today (the one in the picture) but it's still beeping!

I get that too from the more knowledgeable people who notice the beeps don't change tempo.

I didn't even know it happened. Never seen anything about it before..

Is there a pic of this thing to disconnect? I was trying to get my speedo dials out before & there was like a little grey cord thing attached to what looked like a stud but i was afraid to pull it too hard incase i broke it so i put it all back together.

I used to hate the beeping noise but now I never notice it. Kind of like when the girlfriend moans or tells you to do something, you just switch off to it after a while

I’m trying to turn off the beep when the car goes into reverse but don’t know what I’m meant to remove.

I have seen pictures from another thread but it looks different to mine. My car is a 1999 tiptronic.

If somebody can highlight from my picture what I’m meant to remove it would help me out.

I think I may have solved this with hopefully no adverse issues.

I removed the black plug with the + sign next to it and now the beeping in reverse has disappeared.

I know its annoying but surely its better having that thing beeping than putting it in reverse at the lights by accident and then hitting the gas?
