  1. Welcome to 2020 everyone! Just a quick bump for this - there are only 4 weeks left to get your entries in, so act fast to bag your place! If you're a Facebook type, there's also an official event set up by TGB - it'd be great if you could share it with your Toyota-owning friends LINKY: https://www.facebook.com/events/612774282863511/
  2. Thanks @Jak jak (is there a way to tag people? If so, please enlighten me...) To add to @raddys' info re scrutineering, the regs state the following: 8. The event will consist of one class and is open to road equipped cars of any age with any capacity produced by Toyota (cars entered may be checked with the DVLA website, whose records will be deemed final for purposes of eligibility and insurance. PLEASE NOTE – Road equipped means that cars must be presented in a condition in all respects (including MOT if required for age of car, road legal tyres, exhausts, lights, etc) that enables it to be legally driven on the public road. Tyres may not be changed after the car has entered the circuit. 20. PREPARATION - CARS All cars must be prepared to a condition which is safe to compete. Cars which are found to leak ANY fluid during Scrutineering or on the course will not be allowed to compete until the seal has been repaired. I think the suitcase check is one of the tests - if they fit, you pass, and if they don't you start the day with penalty points (sorry MR2 owners - you should've bought a Supra!) Bit more info on what the day involves in the report on this year's event at the Toyota blog: https://blog.toyota.co.uk/first-toyota-parallel-pomeroy-trophy-huge-success Any questions, don't hesitate to ask in here or PM me. Great to see a list of attendees developing too!
  3. Hey everyone, just jumping in here - massive thanks to Jak jak for sharing the event with you all. Over at DMS, we're assisting Toyota GB with outreach to the clubs and on social media so if anyone has any questions, I'm more than happy to go and find out the answers. Would be awesome to have a good showing from MkIV community
  4. Hi everyone, Just a reminder that Toyota GB's running an event exclusively for Toyota owners at Silverstone on 16th February - it's called the Parallel Pomeroy Trophy and anyone with a road-legal Toyota can enter. Full details of the event are here: https://blog.toyota.co.uk/exclusive-silverstone-event-toyota-owners If you didn't want to enter the contest itself, but fancy a day out (a mini-meet perhaps?) to come along to support a friend or just have a look at the cars that are involved, then please feel free to join us - spectator entry is free! We know how passionate you are about your Supras, so it would be great to have a good representation from the club - please share the invite with your friends and fellow Toyota enthusiasts. Any questions, either send me a PM or email them to [email protected] and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can!
  5. Hope it's okay to share this here - if it's in the wrong place or has already been shared, please move or delete as appropriate! And if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask! >>>> Toyota GB is teaming up with the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) to host an exclusive Toyota event in parallel with VSCC’s annual Pomeroy Trophy - known affectionately as ‘The Pom’. It’ll take place at Silverstone on Saturday 16th February 2019, and we’d like you to bring your Toyota along. Full details of the event can be found at the Toyota blog: https://blog.toyota.co.uk/is-your-toyota-a-winner-join-us-at-silverstone-to-find-out The only entry requirement is that all cars are road-legal, but after that cars of all ages and types can take part in a series of autotest-style challenges that will be assessed by the same judges officiating at The Pom itself. Entry costs just £30 and can be submitted via the VSCC website, and proceeds will go to Toyota’s chosen charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind. ENTRY FORM (PDF): https://www.vscc.co.uk/vsccMedia/25863.pdf We even made a little vid to introduce it - say hi to Scott! :-)
