  1. I don't really like either of them. Lewis isn't exactly mr brains, I'd imagine both of them are a good match for him.
  2. This is also a nice little speed comparison:
  3. So what's the Evoque like for reliability?
  4. Isn't the Focus manual only though? Seems to be the way with a lot of the nice hot hatches. I did suggest a 4C to her, but that's really not appropriate for bumpy fields! I'll have a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 though.
  5. Yeah I've been thinking that, which is why we started looking at the TT, GT86, Supra was mentioned of course, also some hot hatches (although she's auto only, so tricky to find) like Golf R, A45 AMG. Really the reason we've gone softroader is due to ground clearance, it really isn't off roading but it would be nice to know it can go over big bumps and dips without worrying. Bit too big. She likes the Evoque but bloody expensive and I've heard some bad stories about reliability of all the Land Rover models! The main reason she likes the Juke is for the quirkiness, but when comparing to Audis they're just very cheap and plasticky.
  6. How? Every review I've read says they're great for reliability.
  7. Wife needs a new car, probably won't be buying until next year so I've got some time for prices to drop, thinking around £25k budget. She wanted a Nissan Juke, as they're very individual, she doesn't want to be boring. But then she started looking at Audis and has fallen quite in love. I suggested a TTs which she did like the idea of but unfortunately there will be times when she goes to fundraisers on her own and will need to get into bumpy fields and down badly kept gravel tracks etc. Not proper off roading but certainly not something for a low sporty number. So, shortlist is Q3 or Juke, the Nissan would be brand new, the Audi a few years old. Anyone had one? What are the gadgets like (apart from being expensive!)? The Juke has all the fancy round view cameras and whatnot which I'm not sure if the Q3 has. Obviously Q3 will be much nicer to be in though. She won't get in a BMW and Fords are too plain, before you ask
  8. I don't like refuelling, as above it just adds more strategy rather than more racing. Maybe it will work but it depends how they decide to do the fuel loads and tank size in the end, if they can work it so cars will be on different enough fuel loads to affect performance then it could alter the speed differential between racers - which is essentially what we want. Tyre choice is a good one, that will make some faster and some slower on the day, and it will play to different strengths of chassis setup etc. I just wish they'd go to a reverse grid, you get all the racing you want and you can make it so people can actually race flat out rather than saving tyres/fuel all the time.
  9. I'm leaning towards the Z4, if it ever comes over here!
  10. I'm looking to replace my Galaxy S4. Deciding whether to go for another contract deal or just buy one and go sim only. But either way, not sure what to go for. Must be Android. I do like the S6, I haven't fondled one yet but it looks very nice. My issues are that it isn't waterproof and the battery on it is terrible. I would really like a splashproof phone for use in the rain, and I do really need good battery life! I also must have 4G, good camera, needs to be fast, I like a good screen quality but don't generally watch that many films or anything. The S6 seems to fit all those things, I'm looking to see if an "active" version is likely but nothing official yet. The only other ones I've looked at are the One M9 and the Xperia Z4, not keen on the HTC and haven't seen much info on the Z4 yet. Anyone know the pros and cons of HTC and Sony phones? I'm going to go watch some YT but wanted some personal opinions as well. Any other options?
  11. That's one of the problems at the moment is too much is swayed by things like tyre choice, and being pitted at the wrong time completely changes your race, the drivers probably all are running at 80% performance, and if they get told to turn up the car and go for it they can take another half a second a lap off! It's ridiculous really and must be really frustrating having to drive that way rather than just flat out.
  12. Yeah I get people not liking him, but lots of people say he's slow and Rosberg is quicker, it's just nonsense.
  13. Why do so many people have a go at Hamilton and fail to see how fast he is, last year he had so many more problems than Rosberg and still won - I hope this year it's more equal in reliability.
