  1. Thanks for that advicei think I will get it professionally measured, also probably give Paul a shout.
  2. Hi all so I have hit a wall with my build, checking the repair manual it states that there are 5 sizes of crankshaft bearing and 5 sizes of connecting rod bearings, using the manual I have determined that I have for con rods: 333333 arrangement determined by cap and crank numbers. The crankshaft bearing I have 3222233 determined by imprint on the bearings. Problem is ringing Toyota they only list a bearing kits crank = (13204-46023) and con =(11704-46030) no size detailed for either, they have 5 individual bearing listed but they all have the same code =(11071-46020-03). Can anyone shed some light on this? I was hoping to get some oem precision on the internal rather than aftermarket plug and play but quickly looking like it's the only option I have
  3. OK I'll take the prop shaft, can you pm an address and PayPal I'll look up a courier
  4. I have one, I did a wiper delete not long ago. I put up a pic tomorrow. Paint is faded I think.
  5. I read the full thread just yesterday, so still getting hits. I looked at the Walton to absolutely gorgeous. Budget just couldn't stretch to it this year, I felt get Na-t first then uprate... Or rebuild the block I pull out. Walton have anti-lag setups to i wondered whether this could be added at a later stage if one wanted. Glad your ever closer to the dream, its been an arduous journey.
  6. Yeah the total for valves and skim was pushing £350. They were just a local engine refurbishment, so doubted they were providing any performance expertise also wasn't willing to pay that price for some thing i could do my self. I will get them to skim but that's it.
  7. Thread revival, I have recently purchased an XSpower turbo kit. they have a 2020 kit with strengthen manifold. I place an order request via email on a Sunday, they responded same day managing to get an order raised, the complete kit arrived 8 days later. I has asked several questions since which they have promptly replied. I have been happy with customer service to-date. i am in process of building engine will update later in the year with how kit runs. Total cost, inc delivery and taxes was approx £1600.
  8. Hi David, I got this TT box thanks for the continuous hunt and regular updates. I just have to try and get prop, flex plate bits now. You'll cry for missing this one....... T.T. box £130. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164172846199?ul_noapp=true
  9. I have just seen what a state that tapatalk posts the pic and text. I will attempt to continue this thread on PC, I was hoping i could go back and edit posts but i cant find the option. I thought I would mention as a warning, followed with a question. I found that when jet washing the head, after removal of the valve springs. I found that a thin washer/shim came flying out from, where I guess was sitting under the valve spring. it is quite hard to see which one was missing i had a guess and popped it back in. although thinking now that I should remove each and ensure that each spring bay has one. I think a magnet on a stick should work for removal. What do you think the purpose of these are? I have several thoughts, either a harder metal to protect the ally or a shim to adjust the quiescent spring pressure. work started on cleaning up the valves, I popped them in a drill and used scotch bright to remove carbon. I think I will polish them right up using 800-100-1200 grit wet & dry. that's next week though and I will wait til then for some nice before and after pics.
  10. Sweet. keep it is. Money that can be well spent somewhere else.
  11. The machine shop wanted £7 per valve plus tax. I may get a drill bit sucker give it a quick blitz then finish by hand.
  12. Tapa talk is convenient but has really low res pics i will attempt to replace these with the pc later.
  13. The piston have all been cleaned up. Should any of bearings be changed while they are out? I started to look into it and I think there are few types that have different tolerances down to the 0.01mm. Started hurting my brain so quit looking
