  1. Evening chaps Thought I'd update as finally sorted! After replacing my fuel pump ecu and no change in the issue, I got a auto electrician in .... after a few hours of testing and head scratching, he couldn't solve the issue, he said everything looked in great condition and couldn't understand it . After sulking for a few weeks ( months) Somewhere I had seen similar issues leading to the main ecu, so that been my next check ......this is what I found I tried to find someone local ish to repair it but finally with the help and advice from keron, a replacement unit was found!! And everything runs sweet Massive thanks to Keron, always has time to give advice and help out
  2. Completely standard N/A I thought it would be some kind of wiring issue now
  3. Evening guys hopefully someone can help! So car has been running fine , not used it for 2 weeks ....go to start and it's runs for 2 seconds then cuts out. Tried again with a bit of accelerator..cuts out again. After searching here, I bridge the relevant ports on the diagnostic to run the fuel pump and it starts and runs fine. Changed the efi main, still cuts out Possibly fuel pump ecu ? Brought a tested unit and no change. Any help would be much appreciated on what to try next Thanks Antony

  6. Thanks! Finding any excuse already lol
  7. Evening people, don't post much but after being off the road for 7 years I thought I'd post a few pictures! Know how we all like pictures lol After starting a business 10 years ago, I had no time or money for the car so she went away and got forgotten for probably about 5 years. we decided to buy a new house that needed a full renovation, and also had spec for an extension and maybe a nice warm garage! So.... I opened the garage Ashamed.... I pushed her out changed the oil and filter, some fresh fuel, and made sure the engine was free ...she started first time ! bit of a clean before going to my parents to be covered up and stored again finally after 12 months she could come home, probably the best bit of the whole renovation and extension was finally having a fully insulated garage with heating and bringing the car home. First job, wheels sent for referb A few issues....clutch had no pressure at all, breaks were binding, so all the calipers off to re paint and service so changed the clutch fluid and bled it until I had firm pedal...then to the breaks... following videos I begun to bleed the breaks, couldn't understand why the pedal was still soft ... the last one and find this lol. So found a replacement painted it and all good at last. Some new bc coilovers while on stands I cleaned off any surface rust, painted all the heat shields and the petrol tank cover. With an intermittent starting problem and searching on here I thought I would try the starter motor Quite alot of dirt .... I got it all clean and back on ...starts every time now. Onto the body work, wife brought me a d.a and lots of products to try for my birthday... a few before and after With the better weather i was itching to drive her again, after a few other jobs I decided to book an mot...... day of mot I went out to make sure everything was fine. As the battery had been on and off she wouldn't idle properly so went for a drive, And broke down .... lights came on the dash and just cut out. Managed to get home on what was left in the battery and tested the alternator...it wasn't charging. Mot cancelled. Gutted. Thanks to Keron who got me a new one out the next day ! Finally ready and she passed! Loads of other jobs to get done, but working progress. Pretty much everything I have done over the last year has been with advice and old posts and pictures from here, which has been a massive help
