  1. Hi, I am look for an old (but working) N/S/R brake caliper for my jspec n/a. The cars been off the road for a while so its just been sitting and I need this to get me through the MOT. Cheers.
  2. Hi I was getting these for a while, then while I was in A&E for another reason they found I had a heart murmur. For the next few months I had quite a few tests and scans done on my heart an they found I had a leaking heart valve. At first I was told I would need surgery at somepoint in my life to sort this but it wasn't require immediately. I then got sent for a camera down my throat so they could get a better view of it just to be sure and they found that the leak was now severe and not moderate, so therefor I required surgery ASAP. So in june this year I had open heart surgery to repair my valve. Since then my hearts beat is normal and no more breathlessness and tiredness, so I would definitely advise you to go to the doctor. it did mess up my life a bit at the time, had to stop uni and was off work a good few months but now I am definitely feel so much better.
  3. No need to appologise I never made it clear. But all problems are solved now so I'm definitely up for it. I will keep and eye on the thread and hope a space pops up
  4. It was going to be an official list but it seems I am too late for that now but yes defo add me to the reserve list as I got good news from the garage, the problem is now fixed
  5. I would definitely be up for this (if my last remaining issue with my v8 swap is sorted)
  6. Mine has been an absolute nightmare, the conversion was originally done by another mechanic then I had to get someone else but no one wanted to touch it as they didn't want to take on anyone else's mess. I have had it running on 6 a while now but this is the closest I have got to finding what the problem is. Have you any idea whats causing your misfire yet? Have you ruled out the usual suspects? ive searched for hours for everything that generally causes this on the 1uz but none was helping me, not until someone thought to test the transistors in the ecu.
  7. I did pick up another ecu which I was told was working, but this never fixed the fault. both where tested and found they both had the same faulty transistor. either a big coincidence or something blew the ecus. I have since got one of the ecu fixed and its now going between 6 and 8 cylinders, but hasn't as yet blown the transistor. I am currently on the lookout for another ecu but most that come up haven't got the same connecting plugs.
  8. He put a diode on the injector plug which showed the pulse, before the Ecu was fixed obviously there would be no flashing light, then once fixed all injectors where pulsing. But now it intermittently pulses between 6 and 8. I bought new leads right at the beginning of trying to sort it which was months ago going on a year.
  9. Ahh ok yeah that makes more sense to me now, I'll give that a go. Cheers
  10. Changed the leads and plugs at the beginning before I got it properly checked, the caps and arms wouldn't cause the injectors not to get a feed though, or would it?
  11. So I put a 1uz in my supra and it was running on 6 cylinders. the mechanic checked it over and found that 2 injectors where not getting a pulse from the ecu. so I got that checked and found that one of the transistors that fire the injectors was blown, so changed that, started the car up and we're on 8 cylinders. I thought great problem solved. turned the car off then go to start it again, now its back to 6. First thought that the ecu has blown again but checks confirm that its all ok. so now it intermittently runs between 6 and 8 cylinders. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could cause this? I know this isn't a 1uz forum but thought maybe this might have happened to someone on here? Also not sure if I posted this in the correct place, if not my apologies. Cheers.
  12. Ah ok, I never even thought to try anywhere else, just took what the first place said as true, but as it turns out you where right. I took it too another place today and they where disgusted by the mess of the weld that the other lace left and they put the much bead sealer in the air was leaking from right the way round the wheel. So the wheel is current at the shop getting repaired and repainted so should be as good as new thanks for that.
  13. Hi, wondering if anyone can help. I got a crack on one of my wheels which needed welded this held for about a year then went again. since then its been welded another few times so I was advised that it would just keep doing it so there would be no point in keeping trying to repair it and a ne wheel would be needed so i've been on my space saver for a while now(way longer than I should've been) The guy at the wheel place says that I should just get a full set of other wheels because I would struggle to get one the same as mine, but I really like my wheels so I decided I would try anyway but it is looking like he was right, ive look online and ive found a few places that have them but theyre all in Germany or Holland and don't post to the uk. I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that ships here that might have my wheels? They're Azev Type M Classico 19s. any help is appreciated
  14. aw you should've tried the deep fried mars bars haha nah that is one thing I have never touch, but you definitely should have tried the neeps and tatties(turnip and potatoes) theyre good with haggis lol
  15. haha trust me you'll know all about it when I get her back
