  1. Owned the 3 MPS (Mk 1) and currently own the Focus (Facelift Mk 2). The MPS is a decent car, well spec'd for the price (Bose sound system is great). It's quick enough for what it is but like most stock turbo car's it runs out higher up the rev range. What i didn't like about it was the crashy ride and the handling in general. The faults about them are well known about - turbo seals are prone to go, VVTi actuators etc. It has loads of space and a massive boot and is ideal for moving stuff or animals. I have the focus just now and would recommend it over the MPS in pretty much every department as an every day car. MPG wise, on the commute I averaged 32mpg in the Mazda and approximately 27-30mpg in the Focus - mixture of Motorway, A and B roads.
  2. Did the battery camp sell? If not i'll have it.
  3. Some great pictures in there! That Top Secret GTR though
  4. Welcome mate. My recommendation - Mountune the ST and love it It'll also give you some time to save as what you're looking is only getting harder to find these days...
  5. Just Ross and myself made it
  6. Is this going ahead on Sunday?
  7. I found mine, paid deposit etc. in January and picked it up at the beginning of June. All depends when it's shipped, drop off points for the ship etc.
  8. A brief synopsis of my experience: 1) Decide what spec of car you want. 2) Set a budget. 3) Speak to importer (JM-imports would be my recommendation) 4) Go past budget 5) Wait a few months. 6) Spend more on parts while you wait. 7) Get car and enjoy.
  9. I drove past one the other day and would definitely struggle to talk you out of it!
  10. These would be more than welcome on the Applecross trip
