I found this link while searching for my problem with the car running lean since going BPU, I suspected the HKS FCD and this seems to back up this up.

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/bcc/why_bcc/Why_the_GReddy_BCC.htm

I can't find greddy BCC's available as it seems discontinued according to GReddy, is there another product that does the same think without getting a piggyback ECU.

n.b. I've taken the car to a rolling road who confirmed it is running lean, I've replaced the fuel pump with a walbro when going bpu. AFR reading is around 12.2 with WOT.

I have one of these fitted, mine was supplied by chris wilson but its the same thing ; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TURBO-BOOST-CUT-FUEL-CUT-DEFENDER-ELIMINATOR-MAP-SENSOR-hks-controller-fcd-/220969030244?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3372c7d264

Its a doddle to wire in and works exactly the same as the bcc by clamping the voltage from the map sensor just before fuel cut meaning the engine is unaffected 99% of the time and will only lean out a tiny bit on WOT.

I have this fitted to mine and the afr's were 10.5 at WOT so certainty not lean. Hope that helps.

I gather Chris Wilson has fitted them to many supra's, I checked mine with a multi-meter and it completely un-affects the voltage from the Map sensor until the point where you set it to clamp and it holds the voltage solid. Seems to work just fine.

The only real difference i think is that the Greddy is pre-set and this one you have to set yourself but its really quite simple.
