Mine look perfect as in they have no cracks, breaks etc. I just wondered if the fact that they have been compressed once means they loose there ability to seal when re-used. Like Chris says, its a lot of work to remove again if they do leak but at the same time they are rediculously expensive to replace new if its not needed.

does anyone sell these cheaper than toyota?

I will be putting my two turbos back together shortly. They have a couple of exhaust type steel gaskets. Can i re-use these these as i dont want toi buy more unnecessarily due to there high price. Carl

i just realised that todays increase is just a fuel levy so the vat increase comes next Tuesday to give us a double whammy. then probably another fuel increase in Aprill along with predicted crude price increases, we could be looking at £1.50 by summer.

Is it just me or has knowone noticed the increase in petrol prices lately. I understand the new VAT rate was going to increase from today but it has already raised around 5p per litre in the last 2 weeks around gloucestershire before the additional VAT 3.5p went on today. How much more must we take in increases before something has to happen. Carl

you should of seen my turbo blades after i removed them. Id say about a third of some of the blades were missing yet the car ran fine and pulled like a train at 1.2bar. hopefully itll pull like two trains when I put the replacement ones in.

I toyed for ages whether to go for the 320 or 330 d but in the end I decided that the main reason for me buying was for economy. for that reason it had to be the 320d and I have no regrets. ITs probably the best diesel I have ever owned and is both fast & comfortable. I have a 2003 6 speed and its like new with no rust or mechanical issues. I opted for the SE model as you get the extras, like electric windows all round, lots of buttons for climate control, reversing sensors and central dimming mirror & a CD player or multi changer. Carl

Thanks for the offer Dunk. Can't make it today but perhaps next weekend or something would be good if that's convenient for you.

I recently bought a BMW 3 series which is in pretty good nick for a 6 year old car but who ever previously owned it must have left it under a tree and there are about 5 patches where birds muck has eaten into the laquer. is there any way to remove these marks without respraying the bonnet. I tried a bit of T-cut but this did not remove them completely. Any help appreciated. Carl

Im after some valeting clay and fluids to clean my car at the weekend. Are there any traders or valeters on here that can sell me some? Carl

This is what Im starting to think although should this really be the case. I know the I-phone does everything under the sun but surely the most basic function of signal quality should be as good if not better than a standard mobile or is it a case of too much interfearence from all the data streams and info to & from the phone? To me it seems making a mobile do everything it was never designed to do is making great progress but its fundamental & original purpose has seen little or no improvement since its conception...to make a phone call..
