  1. I can personally vouch for TCB, bought some bits for my 1JZ some months back, Paul is a top boke, prices very keen.
  2. Good to know. Also impressed by your ability to ID from what isn't the best image in terms of lighting. Oh and I do have the centre caps, they are tucked away, also painted matt black to match.
  3. Thanks guys. The reason I ask is that I plan to sell my Soarer in the coming months and wonder whether to sell as is, with the 17" staggered rims or whether to put the standards wheels back on it. Car is low mileage, I am the only UK owner, since import in 2008. It looks and handles far better with the Supra rims if I'm honest. If I put the standard Soarer rims back on, I will need to budget for tyres and anything half decent will be about £300 at least, so unless they are selling for big money, then probably might not be worth taking them off...asking price and selling price are often two different things. Do I have the pre or post-facelift wheels?
  4. Hello folks, any idea what a set of genuine 17" staggered Supra rims is worth these days? They are in good condition with 4 x plastic centre caps painted to match and the rims were powder coated matt black by Ibrar at Speedwells some time ago.
  5. Thanks guys, TCB were indeed very good!
  6. Thanks, Frank. I used [email protected], which might explain the bounce back. I will also try TCB. Any thoughts on BluePrint as an OEM supplier? I did a search and other forums seem to say their stuff is good quality, was just wondering if anyone has experience here.
  7. I have used Steve on several occasions to get genuine Toyota parts, with a bit of a discount thrown in. I sent an email across today but it bounced, looks like he is no longer there? Is there a replacement contact anyone can share?
  8. Hello folks, I have a 1JZ Soarer and was wondering if anybody knew whether a Supra SMIC would be a relatively easy swap? I read here that a standard Supra SMIC would fit a Soarer with minimal mods, http://thirteenleftprojectsoarer.blogspot.com/2014/05/interesting-read-smic-side-mount.html Perhaps Chris will see this himself and comment. In an ideal scenario I'd be interested in having a CW Supra SMIC in the Soarer...
  9. Looks to me to be the same car, but with different / painted wheels. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-Toyota-Supra-3-0-Twin-Turbo-UK-/172551369627?hash=item282cdcf39b%3Ag%3A1akAAOSwr~lYswbp&nma=true&si=PX7KDpxXFn9ffUCX6Wfn8%252FkpHaQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  10. Is it just me, but in one of the images, the rear bumper looks a slightly different shade to the rest of the body?!
  11. Nice. What did this set you back?
  12. Me personally, if I was to buy a C / D cat shell, I'd keep a record of condition when it was purchased and some photos of the build up to put any potential buyer's mind at rest when, at a later date, you might be thinking of letting the car go. There are cars out there that have been heavily knocked, but damage was never recorded, there are cars that have been lightly damaged but due to complexity or value, written off and then there are serious cases (as per the Corsa posted above), where a cat C / D is appropriate. Unfortunately, most people's idea / perception of a cat record is the last example...
  13. I don't have anywhere to skim the discs...I might just add new pads and take it for a brisk drive. I'm guessing the pads will chew up the light rust on the disks? Thew discs have seen under 1k miles as the car is barely used, with no lip... - - - Updated - - - Possibly buddy, I will take the pads out at the weekend and compare to an OEM replacement from Mintex.
