  1. I’m about 25k deep into my car, that’s where the figures come from regardless of the market to be honest. I probably wouldn’t have another one if the worst happened cause I couldn’t bring myself to build another haha
  2. Mileage is up there 250k km. i suppose the point of agreed value is to replace the vehicle like for like, which I believe 25k could.
  3. Whifbitz kit, link ecu, that’s the only bits that are worth mentioning lol. I understand what you mean, however as mentioned earlier 20k can barely pick you up a clean NA manual therefore I don’t think 25 is a stretch.
  4. In my case it was the only insurer that would touch me… as much as it’s annoying I’ve contacted and paid classic car valuations who tayr recommended (Thankyou!). See what happens. I don’t think 25k is an unreasonable ask for the supe nowadays.
  5. Hello guys, insured with Adrian Flux, just received my agreed value from Trinity Lane at £18k! na-t manual... full rear end restoration.... seems a little on the low side in todays market. I was after 25k. Their email states: "If you are unhappy with the valuation, we are willing to reassess upon receipt of a signed and dated independent valuation from a member of the Institute of Automotive Engineers and Assessors (www.iaea-online.org)." can anyone recommend someone to do this valuation for me? Cheers, Nathan.
  6. I’ve offered my spare GE to him but he won’t do it :(
  7. Update: I’ve managed to get insured with Adrian flux at a reasonable £950 with an agreed valuation (still ongoing) and fully comp cover to drive any car Upto £20k in value
  8. Hello all. I know it’s not supra related hence why it’s in this section of the forums, but me and a few pals are really at a dead end here just wondering if anyones got sr20 knowledge I’m trying to help a friend get his s14 zenki (sr20det slant top) running. The main issue is the car will crank but not fire - sometimes can get it to run for a few seconds before the fuel injectors stop firing. This is usually achieved by unplugging the ecu coolant temp sensor, aswell as the maf chassis ground. Back ground is: car ran fine but pulled the engine to spray the engine bay and do some welding underneath.the car is running a Apexi ecu with a z32 maf, and r8 coilpacks. Believe there are larger injectors on it to. None of these have been changed since the car last ran and idled fine. We’ve checked all the earths and continuity checked the pins at the ecu side of the loom, I noticed that the ecu power wires have a slight resistance to chassis ground which I traced to the relays that are used for the NATS system (think it’s called eccs?) but a look on the Nissan wiring diagram shows that’s how they should be wired. Tried some different relays but still no change. The nats is 100% disabled when attempting to start the car as when the button is pressed on the fob, the fuel pump primes and fuel pressure is seen at the FPR. we did notice using a node light, when the car does start up, that the injector pulse slowly dies out after a strong few pulses almost like the ecu is fuel cutting. Due to not having a cable and the software to check the ecu we cannot check engine codes. Checked the voltage on the tps, all fine there, maf has been swapped for a new one, checked the wiring over and over again, cas wiring checked has anyone had a similar issue ? cheers
  9. firstly, I'm jealous of your collection. I've been with elephant for years on most of my dailys/previous cars, but they wont touch the supra with engine mods, only 'aesthetic'. The 2100 was just a generic quote, waiting for my renewal from sterling. I've read that the FCA have made it compulsory for current insurers to offer the best renewal price which in turn means all other quotes have increased, so fingers crossed they give me something worth looking into. Cheers!
  10. Haven’t looked into classic policies yet, they usually tell me to F off cause I’m too young… £300 was just a generic meerkat insurer price. I’ll try APlan soon mate thanks! pretty sure they declined me last year though.
  11. The annoying thing is it’s £300 without mods. Gonna go back NA at this rate
  12. FIC 750cc or 1000cc for future proofing and a walboro 255lph thats what im running
  13. Supra's up for renewal in the next couple months... i'm almost 23 now and they've hiked the price from £1650 to £2100 on an na-t. Has anyone else noticed this much of an increase in price this year compared to last? not sure if it's value related or what but still
  14. ahh ill see if any of the speaker wires are grounded. Thanks Tayr
