  1. Have you verified you're getting a good signal from the speed sensor ? Check where the L-R Blue-Red wire goes into the odometer - that assembly is fragile and prone to solder cracks. I had to touch up all the solder joints on mine some years ago. Open it up carefully, dab a bit of flux on each joint and hit with a soldering iron. Also check the ribbon cable - it too is fragile.
  2. I had to run the car with NO exhaust to get it out of the garage and onto the flatbed to get it up to the shop who was going to fit up the exhaust. The Tomei Titanium 4" is practically a straight pipe - there is a muffler at the end, but it's pretty damn open. 6266DBB turbo dumping right out the downpipe was Gates-of-HELL loud. Holy crap. When I picked the car up it was almost as loud ! Well, seemed that way. Definitely too much for civil driving about town. With the Tomei baffle in place it was genteel, but you can't run that thing for more than idling around. Hence the need for ... something. Hence the Apexi Active Silencer. There's some discussion about the tip silencers etc here https://www.supraforums.com/threads/exhaust-with-tip-silencer.1125621/ I'm also getting a Gesi 5" cat (G-Sport 85500) with a pair of 4"-5" transitions to insert into the midpipe. Need to do my part for the environment, right ? Plus it will cut the sound down as well as the smell, so win-win.
  3. I have an Apexi Active Silencer insert for my Tomei Titanium exhaust for the 1994 usdm Supra MKIV. This is a spring-loaded baffle - under low load it's closed so the exhaust is quiet(er). As exhaust gas volume/pressure increases it overcomes the spring, opening things up to full bore. https://www.vividracing.com/apexi-active-tail-silencer-silencer-for-spec-and-turbo-115mm-p-151470931.html Not installed yet - in the middle of swapping the head from regular GTE to GTE-VVTi and other nice vitamins. But it fits perfectly into the Tomei tip.
  4. Nice and simple. Good work. I already have the Radium setup ready to go, was just curious.
  5. @Big Supes - How did you mount that catch-can ? Got any pics ?
  6. Radium has the most gorgeous stuff ... http://www.radiumauto.com/Dual-Catch-Can-Kit-MKIV-Supra-P1343.aspx I have the vent-to-engine (intake) version, though I did redo the exhaust-side lines from 8AN to 10AN. The thinking there is that the intake manifold side with the PCV valve handles idle and in-vacuum situations via the 6AN lines. Once into boost you really want it vented, hence the exhaust side 10AN lines and utilizing vacuum from the intake pipe before the turbo.
  7. Gamiviti makes replacement gears for the seats http://www.gamiviti.com/seatparts https://www.supraforums.com/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-mkiv-today.644951/page-219#post-13699289
  8. No real issue, just like to keep things as stock as possible. The part number(s) appears to be 82121-1B111 = 97 Tt 6 Speed Obd 2 82121-1B112 = 98 Tt 6 Speed Obd 2 but those are for the full harness I think. The non-Toyota part number on the cover itself is Otherwise I'll just use some Easy-Loom and fire-sleeve
  9. Dang, I don't have enough posts to be able to post in the Parts Wanted forum (I think). Anyone know of someone with a replaced harness that might have that protector ?
  10. My google-fu is failing me ... I need the part number for the wire harness plastic protector that runs across the front of the head. Seen here outlined in red. I'm switching a usdm 2jzgte non-VVTi to a 2jzgte VVTi head and need to re-route the harness.
  11. Does anyone know just what sensors these brackets are designed to accept ? I'm assuming it's the Haltech ones ? http://www.wotm.com/haltech/haltech-ecu-inputs-hall-effect-sensor/g-64682.aspx
  12. The Elite 2500 will do traction control really well. You can pick up the wheel speed signals from the T9 traction ecu ecu connector - that's a better place to get them as the signals have been cleaned up from the raw ones coming from the ABS wheel speed sensors. 13. https://www.supraforums.com/threads/enkei-pf01-silver-18x9-5-18x10-5-wheels.1120746/ You can see what that fitment is like. They fit with gobs of room to spare.
  14. In for more information too. I'll be installing a Haltech Elite 2500 in the next month or so (after the rest of the damn work) and it seems like DBW would be a nice tweakable knob, cruise-control ? plus getting of the IAC stuff ...
